I'm glad people agree Big Grin

I also find it funny that the player in the video (was he the one that traveled from France?) was playing the newest version of DDR with significant updates and unheard new songs... and chose this set of songs, two from THIRD MIX:

Drop the Bomb // Dynamite Rave // Saber Wi MAX 300
"Hey! I'm going to fly 1200s miles to play THE SAME STUFF I CAN PLAY 15 MINUTES FORM WHERE I LIVE.Annoyed

Honestly!Laughing Hard

Well, I highly doubt that guy had to fly a significant distance to get to that location test. He was probably a local player, at the most he probably had to take a long train ride.

But realize that this location test only had 12 new-to-DDR songs on it, and the video was taken in the latter days of the location test. So...there's only so many times you play those 12 songs before you start to get tired of it and want to play something older.

Just wondering about new Konami Originals, Bemani crossovers and Bosses songs for DDR X. No info about them so far.

I hope we get more then 10 crossovers. If we get as much as what we got in SN2, I'm going to be pissed.Evil

To be honest, I prefer more original content rather than crossovers. Tongue

Ugh! Absolutely not!

It sucked knowing the whole songlist before the game came out with SN2. I would've been so surprised to see Hades, Pluto, and Relinquish when they were ES. Or the planet songs like the L'Amour remix, Saturn, Uranus, and Poseidon.

I'm with Pie on this one. You'll be happier to be surprised when actually playing the game. Konami is doing it right by keeping it under wraps.

This. 10 crossovers is a nice amount, I definitely would not want more than 10. I always maintain, the best songs on DDR are the ones made for DDR.

Yeah, I can't imagine how awesome it would've been to suddenly have reported that new planet songs are coming out every few months, and seeing all the new boss songs through the extra stage system.
It would've made SN2 an awesome guessing game of what we were supposed to get next.

Also, the amount of crossovers in SN2 was perfect, we don't want them to overtake the new KOs like in SN1.

Do you want Jimmy Weckl, Asaki, Hirofumi Sasaki songs again appear on DDR X ? Like Hering Roe, Concertino in Blue, Tamayura, Agnus Dei ,etc. Mad Blast from The Infection is another good choice for revival from DDR Ultramix but poorly on DDR it no so hard than from GF/DM (Man, that song was very Brutal on DM).

To be honest, I'd rather that sticking to IIDX. I'm not sure if IIDX songs would make such great bosses... And songs like Mei, Nageki and MENDES, which are what people might expect, wouldn't be able to be stepped properly, or they wouldn't follow the music like in the IIDX chart. It's not like they would step Mei's piano...
And I guess this is pretty much a similar story to GF&DM and Pop'n too.

Imo, Do it Do it would be a pretty good DDR boss song, since its easily stepable and would make an easy 15 footer.

Practically every serious player uses the bar.
Either because they want to do more than 3 sets at the difficulty they enjoy, or because they're doing stuff that makes it hard to keep your balance.

I know many a serious player, including myself, who don't use the bar.

Well obviously they wouldn't copy-paste the IIDX chart (Hi KBMP!) for DDR, but that doesn't mean they can't make it a unique and difficult chart.

But yeah, I wouldn't want a crossover song as a boss song. New KO plz~
