The machine sure is bright. I like the lights though, they look pretty

Vertical coin slots are common in Asia as arcades usually just accept ONE type of coin. In Japan, machines only accept 100 yen coins and similarly in Hong Kong, machines only accept $1 HKD.

I guess that's why coins are shaped similar to 100 yen.

Yeah, that would be why our Beatmania machine at work wont accept our tokens. They get stuck in the middle of the "tube".

So why do quarters work for that machine instead? Aren't they bigger than the tokens?
Also I wish I could get a final grade higher than a D in that game, haha.

Some things I want to point out on this video:
Video
If you look at the 2P side, you can clearly see the Screen Filter modifier being used, so if you wanted to see how it works, there it is.
Also, note that the 2P side has no arrows coming up and has red text over the target zone. The lifebar also looks like the oni one. I'm pretty sure that's On the Break being played.

I downloaded the longer higher quality video on the ddrfreak forum, and you right. At the top near the end you can clearly see it says extra stage.

Not for Indonesia. On my country, all my local gamecentre use designed coin from weight and size that equal with 100 yen coins. But on TimeZone Indonesia, they sealed coin slots and replace with TimeZone credit card reader and we must pay at least Rp 10,000 before playing.

Heh, so apparently when I converted the files from the location test, it only got the first 15 seconds of every video.

That sounds like a new announcer.

I have to say I'm not particularly wild about some of the announcer's lines. I really don't want a machine calling me "homie."
Lights are cool; are they moving to the beat, or do my eyes deceive me? If so, that's awesome.

Is he really saying that? *facepalm*
"Come On Homey, Let's Dance Already!"

So the lights don't scroll with the music as I expected. They scroll up and down, reaching higher and higher until it's the end of the song and the whole bar is flashing.

That video shows off the interface quite nicely
I like how the option menu shows up on top of the music wheel to, that's new..
But the cheering crowd seems a bit loud and drowns out most of the music since it comes on so often. But the announcer sounds like the one pre-MAX, so that's kinda neat.
And in addition the cut-ins we've already seen for Emi, she also has another with her character model... Interesting.

I'm gonna be totally honest here. After watching the videos, seeing the screenshots, and everything, the machine looks GREAT. But the interface looks extremely generic.
We got the original trailer for DDR:X over a month ago, and it appeared it was going to have a totally underground theme- with some new stages on the streets and in clubs, and the logo looking like it does- plus the Taj He Spitz song. I figured we might get a cool-looking graffiti theme. But we get the happy sky background? What?
Take a look at this image: http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v4/viewpicture.php?pictureid=3932
Take in EVERYTHING in the screenshot, but disregard the background- it all goes together, except the sky. It just seems out of place. It looks alright- just generic and it doesn't fit together with the "underground" idea.
One other thing. The song select doesn't look bad, but what's with the yellow strip coming down the middle, from the song banner down to the difficulties? It's absolutely pointless and doesn't match the rest of the screen. Come on Konami, we know you could do better than that.
Does anyone get what I'm saying?

Eh, to be honest, I'm not really down with the whole urban theme, so I find the sky thing rather refreshing. I guess it does seem like an odd mix, but I like what I've seen.
But yeah, that Yellow strip thing is a bit weird. I hope they change that before the final release. I like the new stages too, they're very HP-like.

So true. I was thinking that it was going to be some urban street in a city. After hearing a clip of Saber Wing, I have a felling that it's going to be awesome. Now if they don't kill it with a horrible step chart. *Looks at Unreal*

Mm, that one person who supplied that video said it was a fun chart, and it sounded like something from Gradius.

I'm glad people agree
I also find it funny that the player in the video (was he the one that traveled from France?) was playing the newest version of DDR with significant updates and unheard new songs... and chose this set of songs, two from THIRD MIX:
Drop the Bomb // Dynamite Rave //Saber Wi MAX 300
