This reminds me of the time DDR SuperNOVA 2 was reported to be fully unlocked in New Jersey and it was a hidden location test. So I prepared tickets and spend $21 just to go there. I arrived and it was gone, having been taken out a while ago. I went back and it was SN2 again, locked and all, and I left and suddenly news broke out about the machine being back and how it was locked.
Drama Drama Revolution. I'm sure that joke has been juggled around a bit. I am not too surprised it's happening overseas.

The Jersey Gardens location test was not announced, true, but the unlocking of the machine was a bug on KONAMI's part. They quickly removed it, and fixed it before putting it back.
That's not the same situation, really. As soon as someone discovered the Jersey Gardens location, it was reported widely; everyone knew.

Yeah, but it was reported after a while of just... sitting there. Of course, I am just relating the experience with the buggy unlocked machine, not the locked machine. And there was a lot less drama... and controversy.
At least that's what happened on the boards I ventured upon.

Except I really don't think that was a bug, they just didn't want anyone to know... I don't understand how konami could have made THAT BIG of a mistake.
