Talking seriuosly. I read many post which DDR should revive Dancemania songs.

Actually DanceMania already had their moment and DDR can't cling to the past anymore. it should go ahead and focus in other kind of songs. Returning to the same makes DDR can't evolve with other innovations.

I'm not interested in Konami reviving a bunch of covers/remixes of 20+ year old songs from the Dancemania albums either.

Personally, I'm amazed Konami hasn't done a song contest a la SOUND VOLTEX yet in recent arcade DDR games. It could be a great way to get new talent in the series for little cost on their end.

I'd be pretty happy if we're getting a 3rdMIX mode, I think it has some of the best licenses in the series. Though, I think the main issue would be DYNAMITE RAVE. Still, I doubt we'll get another remake again, maybe they'll just add Challenge charts to some 3rdMIX songs

The previous tweets have been just little tidbits. Five days left mentioned DDR started September 1998, four days was about how it only had 11 songs initially, and three days was just the feeling of waiting in line and cheering when someone chose a boss song.

That's kind of what I thought, each day they're just mentioning something nostalgic about DDR. Granted I hadn't translated the other tweets until just now aha. The hype is real!

Hmm, didn't DDR had only 8 songs at first? TRIP MACHINE and MAKE IT BETTER were added in a later version of the game

Internet Ranking Version came out 2 months after the mix originally debuted, and it's the most common version of the mix, so that's where they reference the 11 songs. It had 9 to start.

Let's stop with the baseless claims and wishlists. If Konami's going to do anything, it's not going to be a 3rdMIX love letter. Let's all be realistic here. Bowser's Castle is going to get revived.

At this point we're 99% sure we're at least getting a new sound out of it. That's all I'm expecting so I'm not getting too excited for a new mix or anything like that. Let's not get hyped up over things that likely won't happen.

On a serious note, i would like to see a song contest too, but with Japanese AND western artists. It will be nice they made some "danceable" songs (you know, some eurobeat, trance or pop music), and not only the generic EDM/Denpa/Whatever-core songs, wich is not bad but doing only this is quite boring (like what happened with the lastest IIDX titles, except maybe for copula or SINOBUZ)

What ever the heck is gonna be announced on DDR's anniversary it better be friggin' awesome.

I'm personally hoping for another 2MB Remix.

The least I can expect is that 20th anniversary megamix, which played during JAEPO 2018, added to DDR A.

I would like some revivals, like some of the DDR Ultramix/Festival and DDR Universe series stuff that we never got on AC such as Outer Limits or Disabled The Flaw. But Dancemania licenses I can live without since there's plenty of janky ass barely working Extremes spread all around the country that I can go play on if it was that important to me.

If they want to do a "throwback and honor the past and celebrate DDR's future" kinda deal, having new-to-DDR licenses from classic Dancemania artists would be pretty awesome.

I think it might be better to not speculate like this when it is only like a day before we find out what is going on.

Lots of these things are possible but if they don't happen then it'll just mean whatever does happen you won't like because you didn't get what you want.

Just... relax. It could just be a montage video with a teaser for the anniversary song, and that would disappoint everyone.
