It mostly offends me personally because DDR is so far consistently the only rhythm game where the hardest used difficulties are just automatically garbage. If IIDX 12's/SDVX 19+/ITG 14+/literally any other rhythm game can be fantastic charts, why not DDR 19s? I want to see this game get as much charting love as IIDX gets, thanks.

It pains me because I actually want to push my physical limits with this game but most harder charts don't really facilitate it without being a horrendous chore to actually play

Those other games have better charts at higher difficulties because you're not forced to move your body to play them. A IIDX 12 is miles easier to chart when you only have to take into consideration the player's hands. A whole different breed of tricky.
Also most ITG 14+ charts are garbo, they're just less garbo as they're more focused on speed than patterning.
If you wanna play good difficult charts, then go to ITG. Make your own charts in Stepmania. DDR & Co. have shown they don't really know what they're doing, so rather than hold your breath for the unthinkable, fall back on readily available options.

Also, Puberty Dysthemia DDP is a fantastic chart. Definitely one of my favorites from what I've played so far. The EDP is a much different beast than the ESP though. Completely unexpected.

Mildly old news, but when Ace For Aces got moved to normal play and Ace For Aces Challenge

got moved to Extra Stage level 1 two days ago, according to bemaniwiki the number of steps earned during Rinon's Adventure got multiplied by 100. Now an E on the Extra Stage earns 600 steps and anything A or higher earns the cap of 999 steps, massively over-guaranteeing that every Extra Stage play will unlock a world. This is just crazy enough that I'm wondering if there's any other source for this, like a video showing Rinon climbing all 156 of World 11's steps in one swoop. Funnily enough, it looks like Baby-Lon's Adventure is unchanged.

Thanks! Also looks like World 11 now shows up as Endymion's jacket instead of the mystery purple ring.

Eh, they're probably not going to unlock every song in Ace from the start of the next mix. Maybe? Many of us had to unlock all the 2014 songs when Ace first came out.

Given what I noticed from 2013-2014 transitioning to Ace, if we do get a new mix, it'll probably have songs related to Baby-Lon's Adventure and Rinon's Adventure available by default, but many of the Extra Savior songs are likely to stay locked.

Speaking of Baby-Lon's Adventure, the 999 step thing doesn't work for those unlocks; only for the Rinon stuff. Kinda mad at myself I didn't have a lot of stamina to unlock everything today. X_X

For the Baby Lon stuff? You get those steps after every song instead of having to wait until Extra Stage. Just keep grinding and you should get Dancer in the Flare in no time.
