I'm still waiting for the Dave & Busters in Branden -Tampa to get DDR A. They only have PIU Prime 2. T.T

Very doubtful, VP of D&B basically said they were done ordering cabinets a while ago, although the option of MOVING cabinets around different stores wasn't that far off.

...that or my info might be a bit outdated and they could now be open to getting more cabinets now that the KONAMI embargo of the 'must buy 50 cabs or bust' deal is now gone thanks to other distributor's opening doors for almost any arcade to buying individual cabs...

But honestly, would D&B have enough money to buy $20k individual cabs + the additional money to drop for e-amuse service? Can't say it's likely to happen within a few months/years for beginning establishments.

Dance Rush no, Round 1 exclusive (until Florida gets a Round 1 anyway); DDR Ace? Unlikely, but potentially. But hey, nice that you'll be getting a D&B near where you live

Also did anyone spot this listing at a trampoline/jump/arcade center in Davie, FL 'claiming' to be getting an Ace machine on May 1st? I sent a PM to the person who put it up and even they said they couldn't believe it and will check back once that date hits to see if they were actually getting an Ace cab, or if they thought they were but in reality it was a Betson X cab with probably X2 on it or something.

Hmm, I can drive there but probably won't since I no longer follow the arcade games.

Arcade Odyssey has a rewards program where if you accumulate enough points, you can switch out a game for a month. Someone switched the DDR Extreme for an r21 ITG. It's expected to revert tomorrow. I decided to use the opportunity to test out the doubles charts I created for NONSTOP C and NONSTOP F from DDR SoloBass Mix and they work pretty well.

The weird part about the switch is that if you're the person that asked to switch the game for a month, you would probably spend as much time possible playing r21 for the month. Strangely, I never saw anyone playing there with custom songs. I think I was the only one.

Arcade Odyssey put DDR Extreme back up and I went to play. I got fed up with the 2P Down arrow sticking so I decided to try the DanceManiax 2nd Append that they have there.

It. Is. Fun! It's a shame it never caught on. I'd wager it might have had to do with the high maintenance in keeping the sensors in good condition and with the default play mode forcing you to pick one of twelve courses containing three songs. You have to press all three buttons at the same time to access the play modes and song select screen.

For all the people interested, there's been a discord for about a year or so now of a bunch of Florida players. We're mostly in the Orlando and Tampa area since that's where DDR A, Prime 2, Beach Fun and Games, and the Chewy Fullsail machines are but everyone's welcome since Florida is a bit fragmented in regards to rhythm games

Two Updates:

District Eat and Play at the Oviedo Mall recently got Pump It Up XX, latest news was that it should be online within the week as of posting. Pads are still stock, will look into getting them modded soon.

Beach Fun & Games in Madeira Beach recently got SDVX, go and check it out

I can't believe it's been so long since I did anything having to do with DDR. I think I stopped in 2015 or so, and though I played the occasional game, my skill level dropped and I put on some serious weight...I'm thankful I had the foresight way back when to get myself an eAmusement card, because with DDR A, online stuff, and the scene making a return, I've been thinking it's time I make a return to the game. It's going to take a fair bit of work to get back to where I was skill-wise, if I can ever get back there...but, I've missed it, and everything that's come along in the past few years is really exciting, so I do look forward to working my way back up the ranks.

Quick Orlando update...the DDR Extreme that was in CoCo Key is gone. Updated the listing here. Dave and Busters no longer has the eAmusement cards on sale (another reason to be thankful I got mine when I did!)

Hey, Florida.

Arcade Monsters in Oviedo is a place you should probably go to.

Pump It Up XX was added in August and they have a DDR Extreme as well. Pretty chill place, flat fee to get in ($15) and unlimited play all day (you can leave to get lunch and come back if you want). Lots of arcade and pinball goodness, console games as well with fighting games constantly going.

They also just got Museca, jubeat, Drummania, DariusBurst EX, and Maimai. And there is more to come.

So here's the story in Orlando:

D&B Orlando is open. DDR A20 is mandated down. It is currently in Service Mode.

One of the employees recognized me and sought to talk to me. He said D&B decided not to operate DDR A20 during phase one of opening.

He did state that they were dumbfounded, as (at least in Orlando) it is one of their highest revenue earners.

They are looking for an opportunity to bring it back online during phase two re-opening. What they're going to try to do is get it its own space separate from the other games. My own thought is they may put it in a party room; it's the only kind of separate room I can think of at the site.

So we're gonna have to wait a little bit longer to get the newest DDR back here.

What's going on at the other sites?
