"Memorial" is such an apt name for a song for a dead game

'tis joke, my friend.
But I do wonder how they're going to use English lyrics... are they going to get a bunch of different vocalists who know different languages like Korean, Japanese, English, etc? Or is this really just Japan only?

I mean, I said "finally passing MAX300" as my lyrics so if that doesn't make it in I will be angery.

I put “throwing up in front of the machine while hungover as fuck”, but that likely won’t get in.

That reply is the most savage I have read in this forum at this time.
Anyway, do you think "Aiyaiyai" is acceptable for the lyrics?

Butterfly is coming back to DDR
To be honest, I'm surprised the Dancerush version isn't already in DDR.Butterfly is coming back to DDR
That might be likely to be the song that gets added.
The Twitter account also just passed 10k follows.

If they acquire the rights to it like they did with Determination, that'd be great. Butterfly's pretty much a DDR staple. Just wonder if Smile.dk would allow it.

Oh, about SMiLE.dk, only Ms Veronica Almqvist is the remaining member since 1998. I presume it is still up to their music label (EMI Music Japan, I think) to decide whether to license Butterfly to be in DDR the third time.

Even then, it [the original recording] still wouldn't end up in the NA/EU versions until the next game, hypothetically speaking.
Then again, kors k's remix is somehow a good excuse to put back Butterfly into DDR.

Why wouldn't it show up in the NA version? I understand the EU version as there's no EU machines with eAmuse, but D&B and Round1 machines I assume should get it, unless it's a licensing issue which I doubt.

RIAA still exists. That should explain enough.
Also remember the fate of the 2ndMIX remixes from X3 outside Asia/Oceania.

If it is the kors k version it should be fine. Maybe.
The Smile.DK version will be region locked like every other license so far if it were to be added.

The kors k version is still a license on DanceRush. If it were to be added to DDR, I'd be willing to bet it would be for the Asian versions only.

Butterfly has been licensed on multiple DDR games in the US before including both arcade and console releases, there's clearly no special RIAA-specific reason that would prevent it from being licensed in the US. I think it more likely has to do with whether Konami is willing to pay the money for the songs to be licensed globally rather than just in Asia.

朧 (dj TAKA Remix) may be from this song, found on Ryu☆BEST -STARLiGHT-:
I wonder how will Chronos (walk with you remix) sound like... Will it have the same percussion/break-beats from アルストロメリア (walk with you remix)?

I'm pretty amazed that Konami has been keeping up the updates as long as they've been for the past few months. I am liking this trend.

I don't know how Chronos is going to work in a walk with you style. Are they keeping all the time signatures? That's going to be weird.
That reply is the most savage I have read in this forum at this time.Oh, honey, you are just precious.

I want to think it'll be 192 BPM in 4/4 time, with triplets (in this case, probably 6/8 or 12/8 time), which is something I can picture in my head working well.

May I know what is the time signature of the original Chronos' timing windows please?
Oh yeah. Hopefully and optimistically speaking, KONAMI must be making up for their mistakes from the "BEMANI Sound Team" controversy.

> Konami
> learning from their mistakes
pick one
The only reason they would've backed off from an executive's decision is if enough hard-to-replace employees threatened to quit that it would cost them too much money fast. Money is the only language they understand, and even then only in the short term; they might be able to say "fuck you because I feel like it" to a few employees but not all of them.
