Wait, is there still that crazy deal where you have 30 minutes to scan in as many credits as you want?

So should we go and quote every single person that screamed that Konami doesn't care, that they won't fix the machine, yadda yadda yadda? Because if Konami truely didn't give a crap, do you think a patch would have come out to fix the lag?

I hate Maxx Unlimited X-Special so much...

I wont play DDR X for nearly 3 weeks starting friday. Im going back to america to visit family and friends for a couple weeks.

Im really sad I'll miss the initial release of the final songs, not to mention skip out on IR 7&8.

lol I guess I could try playing DDR X in america Tongue

While that is good news, aren't the pads still trash? Also, do you know what they did you compensate for the lag? I personally don't think screen lag is something that can be 100% fixed on these dedicabs. You're still going to have some delay either in the music or arrows. Still holding out for upgrade kits :<

I have this weird feeling the American upgrade kits are identical to the dedicab hardware, Dell PC and all.

even then, atleast the pads would work(depending on the arcade) and the game would be playable.

First off... No The time cards are gone because people abused them. You can get a 30 minute card if you get a meal during a weekday though. No pausing the card though.

The pads are... Eh... I mean I can nearly full combo Pluto Relinquish on them, so I am not complaining. They just need to be fixed up, and your truly good to go. It still feels VERY Different from past machines dance pads.

I am going to start uploading my videos now, and the update number is...

God, finally Big Grin

Well, at least Konami managed to fix the lag. They're obviously listening... so as long as they can get Betson to repair the problems with the early pads and hopefully improve newer dedicabs' reliability, we're made.
Check out my simfiles:

Pulsemix 2nd Style (Complete, 25 songs)

CRT/working pads is much better than anything the dedicabs will ever be. Timing patches can be done for the Upgrades to make them perfectly synced (see Dr. D's AAAs), assuming we TELL Konami/Betson about the timing issues, if there are any.

EDIT: Oh boy... Headshot is gonna take me a while to get down... I was not expecting half of that shit to happen. Once I get it down however my grade will be a AA. Its not difficult, its just like Chaos or Pluto, you need to know the BPM Changes and Stops.

Though if they truly did, this wouldn't have happened in the first place.

Eh, companies make mistakes. Look at Microsoft and how many updates they release for their products. It's the very nature of software itself. If you have a team of testers that claim that the game works just fine and the testers failed at that, it's not the developer, producer or manufacturer's faults. This is how I see it going down:

Konami has test hardware and a team of testers. The testers claim the game is fine, but they don't have any hardcore DDR players to test it, so rather than paying a DDR player money to test it, they'll just release the game and get feedback and release a patch to fix it, all for free.

Konami releases what they know to be working software to Betson/Raw Thrills. They manufacture the arcade cab. They turn it on, the menus work, the arrows work, the game runs through, they find it ok. They release it, but Konami does not know that there is a lag issue until the game reaches arcades. Konami then has to obtain an arcade cabinet using the same hardware that Betson/Raw Thrills uses so that they can fix the syncing issue. They find the issue, create a patch and release it.

It's inconceivable to think that Konami would spend the time and resources on getting a $10K arcade cabinet to test the machine and holding Betson/Raw Thrills back from production, especially if they spend all that time and the machine happened to be ok. Konami is a business, they're in it to make money and they will not needlessly throw away money until they have to. So once the arcades got the machine, Konami realizes that now they have to spend the resources to fix the issue for the sake of future business. Konami cares because it affects their bottom line. It's silly to think Konami has some emotional attachment to their products.

Yep, doing a little bit of both. I still have to unlock it on the PS2, so I decided going through stepmania would be easier.

Edit: I just got my first full combo on the song on stepmania. The slowdowns are getting me more then the stopping. In fact its the last two that are. But I should have it down by Saturday.
