I don't think Konami would add one more level to the scale. If they do, that would mean that they would have to re-rate a handful of songs to effectively use that rating. I would rather have a flashing 10 than an 11.

I'd rather they expand the highest level to 12 like IIDX and just re-rate the harder songs accordingly.

PARANOiA ~HADES~ CHALLENGE for example would be a hard 11 or low 12.

Some are hoping that they don't tamper with the scale while others do. I have no preference but if they do change it, some songs would have to be re-rated to justify the change. But with the observation of the other Bemani games, they just might end up re-arranging the scale - just not now, like maybe in a couple mixes later.

I think have 11 and 12 footers can end up being a good thing. Think about it. (According to rating) Paranoia Hades is the same level as say… Max 300, when Paranoia Hades is in it’s own league when it comes to difficulty.

At any rate, SN2 needs rerating anyway. If we go by the ratings on newer songs, then the old songs get to be incorrectly rated. We had an issue with the 10's being too wide, and now we also have an issue with the 9's being too wide. Rather than re-rate all the way down, I think it'd be easier to rate up to another difficulty or two.

Not only 9s, but 8s and 7s too. SN2 has a lot of songs that push the ratings.

Sunrise and Ain't No Mountain are more like 6's than 8's, anyway. I think Shades of Grey was rated high too, but I haven't played it recently. I left them out since I'm subconsciously assuming they will be fixed (which probably isn't a good habit with Konami) =P
