I mean, like I said, I do see the benefits of having pad lights, but not for the reason Chris seems to. I don't see how it's going to attract new players at all. Supernova 1 and 2 cabs being bright and colorful didn't really attract any more players than a regular Extreme cab would. If someone is interested in trying the game out, they're just going to do it regardless of what the cab looks like.
Quoting this for new page and because I wholeheartedly agree. How many of us here enjoy DDR because the pads under us light up?Post #6882 · Posted at 2018-06-03 06:45:59am 7.1 years ago
Just thought of an idea: You know how some arcades have a 2nd monitor next to/above a IIDX machine so passersby who aren't close to the machine can see the game?
I think it would be a pretty cool idea to incorporate that into the marquee; it can be stationary and show the game's title when it's not in use, and then turn into a spectator monitor when someone is playing the game. If today's pinball machines can do this in some form, I can't see why DDR couldn't do the same thing.

Hello again, the monthly 5 pages of "ddr is dead" discussion, a recurring Z-i-V tradition since like DDR 2013
The employees with the social media passwords for video game companies aren't usually much more knowledgeable about their games than their fans are, i wouldn't read into that response deeply at all.

I mean PIU is pretty popular in Latin America. If DDR made its way there I'm sure it would catch on quick.
The price of Pump is nowhere near the cost of DDR. That's a huge factor for Pump's popularity in those places.Post #6885 · Posted at 2018-06-03 01:37:31pm 7.1 years ago

That will make the cabinet even more expensive. But I'm not sure if arcade operators would want that...

Considering a year of eAmuse for the UK is rumoured to cost almost as much as the cab? Things that make it MORE expensive are not necessary.
I do LIKE the idea of double-monitors for arcade games. You used to get them mostly for racing games like Daytona USA, a monitor above the machines themselves to show some kind of "live feed" to the people watching. Cameras would cut between cars and shit, it was awesome. You'd also get them on Street Fighter 2 cabinets back in 1992 or 1993, because the crowd to play the game was INSANE and seeing the screen was usually impossible for how many people were crowded around the two players. But I legitimately don't think ANY SINGLE ARCADE GAME is popular enough today to warrant that kind of thing.

[K]Night of [K]Nights getting a Challenge chart? I think we've all played this chart before it's even been written.

Challenge charts do not mean it is always harder.

It’s likely going to be a twister version of the 15, though.

I must say. It's about damn time we have our first "BEMANI Sound Team" original song in DDR lol.
So what's gonna happen to Endymion and Ace for Aces now?

My guess is Endymion is Final Stage once you unlock Level A (or even always available), and AFA is down to level 1.
I highly doubt they will stay where they are when we are In Between mixes and they need to start getting people excited for whatever is next.
