I'd actually be mostly okay with it replacing DDR if it weren't for the fact that I really can't make it out to the closest Round One more than maybe once a month and Dave and Buster's is not interested in adding any more Bemani games to their stores. Like, I seriously lucked out on my local DnB's actually getting a DDR Ace.

Honestly, sound voltex is quickly becoming more fun for me than DDR. Especially since it's constantly getting more content, has a higher difficulty ceiling, and is just overall really really fun. DDR is good for cardio, and it's fun, but I'm starting to get over it.
I'm not a big fan of SDVX on the whole. Do still like IIDX, though. I feel like "it's fun but i'm over it" basically describes my situation with DDR/ITG atm.

Why?
Have you even played it, or are you just spewing shit again?
it's not really my cup of tea to be honest, it looks confusing and dizzy and the ost is not really appealing to me. and some of the jackets are kind of pervy tbh.Have you even played it, or are you just spewing shit again?

Id be okay with Dance Rush replacing DDR if it were an undeniable improvement and "the next level up". But it isn't. I like arrows and buttons personally.

Still a Level 3 Extra Exclusive. If it were available for regular play, I think it would have to be until they even decide on a new DDR release.

"Charlie isn't real" |
I feel like this post fits the thread (or Let It Out could be a potential candidate, but eh, I feel like this fits better here than that thread):
Recently, Hudson Felker (a.k.a KAZE.573) made a FB post asking for photos/videos/data of the DDR Ace tournaments at The Big Deal 2, EXTRA EXCLUSIVE International DDR Ace Tournament, and the most recent Irvine DDR Ace D&B tournament in regards to an employee from Konami asking how these recent DDR Ace tournaments in North America did in terms of people participating, people spectating, and an overall sense of how DDR tournaments in North America are being handled for a potential KONAMI sponsored international tournament akin to what EXTRA EXCLUSIVE was, but not like KAC. Supposedly.
Take that as you will, but it seems like KONAMI isn't throwing the towel away for DDR just yet if someone from the branch is interested about how tournaments are doing here in the US.

They were probably really curious to see the market for the US still but not enough to risk distribution costs at first.
Given that Europe is starting to see Ace and it's popping up in more places, it wouldn't surprise me if there was enough data for them to believe DDR still has a strong market outside Asia.
DDR isn't going anywhere, at least for now. Once it is pulled from KAC is when I'd start to worry.

Honestly because Ace is just now being released in Europe and other Asian countries I think it's safe to say it's not getting replaced with DANCERUSH STARDOM. I believe that if anything, we may just get a UI update along with more content instead of a new mix, like DDR 2013-2014. As people have said before, just because DDR hasn't gotten a new mix yearly doesn't mean it's dead.
I think the people that are begging for a new release need to chill out and realize that DDR is now being expanded to other places, and that all we can do is be patient. I'm sure KONAMI has something planned after DDR gets out there more.

Well the first course of action for Konami should be to get the one bloody machine in Europe ACTUALLY ONLINE then innit?

But no guys let's just instantly assume that DDR is dead and getting canned all because of one out of context quote about a new game even though they said the same sort of shit when DanceEvo Arcade came out and look at what happened there

Oddly enough, New Zealand actually just got an e-amuse supported DDR A cab about a month ago. Why we have one there and not in Europe yet confuses the shit out of me.

I'm pretty sure that still doesn't say "we're discontinuing and cancelling DDR for this" like everyone seems to assume, though

tbh they seem more confident in dance rush in being successful (and it will be) but i'm sure we're getting more content for ddr though i can't believe how long they're waiting on another person to beat endymion

I'm guessing it won't be a huge update like a special event...
Probably similar like those valentine/white day event
Probably most of the rhythm game team are busy planning/working on dance rush content till at least the next 6 months

Because NZ is part of Asia & Oceania, which is different from Europe.
Also, the EU still needs to approve the setting up of eAmusement in the latter.

It's now 2, since Golden Palms just got a new cab.

They just launched DDR A globally (err, more globally than any other BEMANI at least), they wouldn't have invested in that if they planned to can the game immediately. Yeah, the content trickle has been slow, but that's only for the fans here who've been following the Japanese release since day 1. There's a lot of content for players elsewhere in the world to be unlocking, not like you can just power through all the events in a week.
Anyway, where's my soundtrack KONAMI, I want dem choonz (and some sick long versions plz).
