I think that's more of a decision to make it front and center with the new songs in the Ace folder (more casual players are likely to play them vs. having to dig through older mix folders first). I'm pretty certain in the next version, Determination will move back to the 2014 folder and Make a Jam will go back to the 2nd or 3rd Mix folder(depending on how they'll lump 2nd mix CS/link version).
But anywho, I'm excited for these new additions even though they're crossovers, they're good crossovers that I can actually look forward to (I wasn't really excited about last year's EXTRA SAVIOR Feburary unlocks.) Still sad to see them disregarding Ultramix 4 though, or that's what it appears to be like.

It's actually interesting. They did bring in some of Big Idea's songs/charts from Ultramix 2 however (Monkey Punk, Baile la Samba), as well as MAX300 (Super-Max-Me Mix) which was also given an additional challenge chart, but I think it's also because of the time they were brought over.
All of these were actually in Supernova CS or Strike CS

Why are they celebrating the 20th anniversary of DDR with something that's not DDR? Also, do we know what Dancerush Stardom is?

It seems to be the case.
It does say "new generation of dance games" but that's so vague as to its actual meaning. Does it mean DDR persists alongside Dance Rush with possible changes we have seen with Ace for Aces or DDR is just dead to make way for this? I'd wait for more info to confirm anything at this point.

They're linking the launch of their new dance game series with 20 years since the release of their first major dance game series - I don't see anything to get worked up about, it's the sort of thing I'd expect from promotional copy.

The first DDR didn't even come out until September 1998, so I don't think Dancerush is related.

Oh i see ... So that's why they put Butterfly in DANCE RUSH instead of DDR, knowing this is the most iconic song in DDR

Well, it would kinda explain why konami is beginning to simply leave DDR in the dust.
I judge that they're trying to kill DDR and move on, ignoring the *insert number here* people who dedicate lots of time into the game. I know it's not as relevant as their sales, but they could do something for DDR like they did in 2011.
