That last one is going to be my response.
Your master scheme will be noticed by all of three people, only two of which will actually know what the hell you're doing.

And only one who will care.

"OMG KON!"
Hi peeps, long time no see.

I played DDR X yesterday, and found every word stated previously to be true. If you thought the DDR SuperNOVA pads were awful, your in for a big surprise because these are the worst. The lag is Extremely apparent while you are playing. It is indeed so apparent is leaves you questioning why they would even bother releasing the game. I mean god damn did they even bother playing the game, or even LOOKING AT THE GAME?

If you want to see what the gameplay looks like I had one play that I did get a AA on, but that was going by the beat of of me hitting the panels, not the game obviously.

Has anyone heard of the "carboard mod"? apparently this one guy got the ok from the arcade manager to open up the pads to see if they could fix the lag from hitting the pads...

...and what you are going to see might have just saved the machine (for a bit)

That looks like its plays a lot better. I am pretty positive it does not fix the lag at all though. Sad

I wonder if you can do some wire work and put some Extreme pads on the machine.

Even if it doesn't fix the lag or not, this is a HUGE improvement fix than when they just gave them those pads to play with initially....

...heck, i want to know how he did it >_>

I bet he just asked the AC manager to take a look at them. The pads are already ass, so I can't see how he could of made them worse.

One thing is true, a patch to fix the lag needs to come out ASAP.

It's like they're trying as hard as possible to make the pads terrible. When a "simple mod" (and I will assume for now it is relatively simple) causes so much improvement apparently, it makes you wonder why it couldn't, you know, ship with such a simple augmentation.

Oh wait, it's Betson. Nevermind.

It seems like the machine in the video of the pad improvement (even the right side) didn't have nearly as much lag (if any) as the one in the other vid. That's odd.

The "lag" is only noticable when people use speed mods, and changes depending on the BPM of the song, and the actual mods being used.

Here It Goes Again is notable for having very little lag, because the background video is filmed with a static camera.

The "lag" has been explained something like 5 times already in this thread, and people still seem to think it's a software error, that Konami can somehow fix with a patch?

"DINGDONG♥HEARTS"
Nothing's wrong with it. I guess I should have made myself clearer when asking. I was referring to the syncing of those songs - Surrender in SN AC and My Summer Love in MAXUS CS

So let me rephrase my question:

So the lag is different for each song then right?

Sounds like it might be a mod issue more then a lag issue. I wonder the too many mods glitch is still here?

Buy an ITG 2 Andamiro dedicab. If you cannot find one buy a SuperNOVA dedicab and replace the guts with a PC + Linux & OpenITG (If you're scratching your head use google). SIMFILE THE ENTIRE DDR CATALOG and when people ask what the machine means tell them 'This is my response to the US/UK release of DDR X. When English DDR arcades stop being straight ass I'll start spending money on it'.

That last one is going to be my response.
Your master scheme will be noticed by all of three people, only two of which will actually know what the hell you're doing.

My master scheme is to make a DDR game that works. Someone from Konami will notice when DDR X orders and pre-orders are canceled for kits and older machine and nothing at all. Someone from Konami visits sites like this and walks around in arcades to see how a release is doing. If not, if they really don't care, the only thing left to do is what's best for the player anyways.

Maybe if we started importing every Japanese DDR X cabinet we can get our hands on?

um... no. Its extremely noticeable without them, its just easier to bullshit yourself when you play. Using speed mods makes no difference. BPM as you stated, yes it does make a difference.
