After all the backlash, here's what the devs wrote today:
They don't (and won't) give a shit about optimizing the game for PC at all, will they? But even if they only made this game for mobile, that's no excuse to make a game like this. Most phones have more than 2GB of ram... unless the devs just arrived from a time rift made in early 2007. >>

For the record, Infinity’s built its own branch of StepMania 5 that diverged at beta 2; it was originally developed and released in 2012, and to my knowledge they kept finagling with that base engine all the way to the final update in 2016.

On my local Infinity cab, I've been able to play custom steps from USB with all the fancy features Stepmania lets you throw into a stepfile (down to modifiers/attacks for vaguely taronuke-like files). Among other things about USB support that caught my attention, that makes me think that they're still using Stepmania 5 on Infinity's final update.
On the topic of XX, didn't they do a closed beta for a mobile version a while ago? Did anyone really say much about it back then?

Yeah, but it was only open for people in South Korea, and who knows if it was the same game we got. If that last mobile game had better stuff, I will be sad. XD

On another note, I haven't played H5 yet (I don't have a computer at the moment), but judging from the reviews...not really worth it, I guess.
I hope that the mobile version ends up better.
The arcade version looks pretty good though.

OT: Decided to play the facebook pump game and yeah...it's complete garbage. It feels and looks like something someone made in 2005.
Also no idea if anything has changed with the mobile version but the UI for it looks good. The songlist from some of the pictures I saw for it months ago seem heavily based off of Prime 1.

Agreed on how awful H5 looks, it made me question whether or not it was actually an official pump game. It really looks like some kind of awful clone from the era of adobe flash, and not anywhere near an official game.
Andamiro made a new channel and released a song list for XX. The comments are pointing out that they lost a lot of k-pop and world music licenses. Among all the different mixes there still seem to be a bunch of good songs (to me at least), but it definitely feels very incomplete. I really hope they can get some of them back before launch.

Damn, that's a shame. XX still has a lot of good songs in it, but those songs played a large part of what makes me love playing Pump.
Though, this isn't exactly new. Dignity and a bunch of other songs got the axe in PRIME 2.
