Bump: By the way, anyone going to check our their potential DDR Xs should check the following points for me:

1. Check if DYNAMITE RAVE has their respective remixes remade.
2. Check END OF THE CENTURY to see if that's been remade.
3. Check if the graphical glitches I've noted in my two reports have been fixed. Check first post for report links.

I think I herd that the new DYNAMITE RAVE is in it along with the Air Special, but the other remixes are no show.Confused

For the cabs that have been popping up in America? I rather have someone confirm it in this thread though rather than someone just "heard it from somewhere".

It's in the machine review form BMS

-Dynamite Rave "Air" Special is a new version that sounds very much unlike the original. All other "Special" songs (Chaos, Freeze, Voltage, Groove, etc) seemed to be the same versions as before.
Maybe it's just the "Air" Special.Neutral

With no note on the other DYNAMITE RAVEs and END OF THE CENTURY, I'm not assuming anything from that statement as I don't think he checked with the missing songs in mind.

Video of HD lag.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBWEJerJ80U
another Lag video

How did they fuck up this bad?Shocked I thought the lag has a little bad, but the arrows are not even half way up the screen and you have to hit them. I honestly don't know how it can get worse then this.

Well back it ITG.Roll Eyes

the Screen lag is also present when the Asia SN2 was upgraded to X at January
so it is not related much to HD or not

Okay, FFS, why can't they announce this before they get tons of orders for DDRX? Of course, they wanted money and wanted it to sell before they could pull it away. What a scam.

I'm confused. Aren't the e-AMUSEMENT readers built into the new cab? You no longer need the e-AMUSEMENT parts that stick out on the sides, as the readers are on the left/right of the screen with the keypad just above it.

I'd like a little better confirmation than "an unnamed source" with equally unknown affiliations.

I may trash Konami's stepping, but I really think you guys are overreacting to a completely unsubstantiated rumor. I think the rumor is complete BS.

In order for "Saber wing [Akira Ishihara headshot mix]" to appear on extra stage, the player must accumulate a certain minimum number of units of difficulty before extra stage using the formula 13 X n + 1, where n is the number of stages set in the arcade machine (First stage to final stage). For example, if the arcade machine is set to play four stages only, then he needs to accumulate at least 53 (13 X 4 + 1) units of difficulty prior to extra stage in order for "Saber wing [Akira Ishihara headshot mix]" to appear on extra stage. Its good for me to know that there are no restrictions when it comes to choosing difficulty and altering options "Cut", "Freeze arrows", and "Jumps". It's easier and accumulation of tiredness is not that so much if you're after accomplishing "Saber wing [Akira Ishihara headshot mix]".

Here's what I did. The arcade machine that I played is set to four stages.

On first stage, I chose "Dead end ["Groove radar" special]". I set the following options: "Cut" set to "On1", "Jumps" set to "Off", and "Freeze arrows" set to "Off". I made sure I will not let this fail. I got performance grade of "D". I accumulated 18 units of difficulty after this. I need to accumulate 35 units of difficulty more.

On second stage, I chose "Ngo". Options set for "Cut", "Jumps", and "Freeze arrows" are still the same as that of the first stage. I chose difficulty "Challenge". I made sure I will not let this fail. I got performance grade of "D". I accumulated 36 (18+18) units of difficulty after this. I need to accumulate 17 units of difficulty more.

On third stage, I chose "Raspberry {Heart} heart [English version]". I set the following options: "Cut" set to "Off", "Jumps" set to "On", and "Freeze arrows" set to "On". Difficulty is set to "Expert". I got performance grade of "AA". I accumulated 45 (18+18+9) units of difficulty after this. I need to accumulate 8 units of difficulty more.

On final stage, I chose "On the break". I chose difficulty "Basic". I got performance grade of "AA". I accumulated 53 (18+18+9+8) units of difficulty after this. I will be able to play "Saber wing [Akira Ishihara headshot mix]" on extra stage. However, its available difficulty is "Basic".

To all players, mine is just an example. You can set your own preferences.

any of the attributes is not allowed to exceed 100 if the other four attributes are not yet 100

Ditto.

I think they are the most terrible co-op when it comes to music gaming.

Guys fyi, the recently new patch 2009061000 not only fixed the edit data stuff, but it also added in the option to choose your medals type on the Character selection screen (if you get more than 1 medals), Extra/Encore siren will only alert for a short period of a few seconds & it also fixed the difficulty glitch. Anyways, over here i've 2 ddrx with March patch (problem receiving/downloading the patch again, lol) & 2 patched June patch.

In before Guitar Hero with pads

I'm shocked at how terrible that looks and I already know how those flimsy plastic arrow will feel. I've played on a really old DDR machine with 3rd party arrow replacements. They are lighter, thinner, and give way waaay too easily making it harder to register the step or to keep it registered on the pad. I had to STOMP to get any kind of score, that defeats the fun in DDR completely.

That said, arcade owners should heed this advice and seriously so. This is our chance to respond to this malarkey.

If you have a SuperNOVA or SuperNOVA 2 cabinet, purposefully wait for the upgrade kit, call your supplier begging for DDR X. When they say they have the machine and not the kits, act sad and hang up. Do this weekly until they can fulfill your order. Then you'll get DDR X (Which is a GREAT game) without the HD lag and the "My My Box" cabinet.

If you have an older machine purposefully buy a SuperNOVA or a SuperNOVA 2 and proudly announce that you're waiting for the DDR X upgrade kits. Repeat the suggestions above.

Or you can really send a dark yet sadly needed message to Konami:

Buy an ITG 2 Andamiro dedicab. If you cannot find one buy a SuperNOVA dedicab and replace the guts with a PC + Linux & OpenITG (If you're scratching your head use google). SIMFILE THE ENTIRE DDR CATALOG and when people ask what the machine means tell them 'This is my response to the US/UK release of DDR X. When English DDR arcades stop being straight ass I'll start spending money on it'.

That last one is going to be my response.
