@ anyone who has the game, does it actually have the colored combo meter or not?

Blue Rain features a different cut from the IIDX version with the voices given more of an echo.

Yes.

I finished Emi's story in SSM and I was hoping for a COLOR 2 or an item unlock message. All I unlocked was EMI:2 (the SuperNOVA outfit).
That leads to me believe the recolors and the accesories are not included in the game.

I kind of figured out how the colors in the combo counter works:
If you start your combo with a MARVELOUS,it will have a white glow. But if you get a PERFECT,the combo counter will stay yellow through all the song (that is if you get a PERFECT FULL COMBO) and the glow will disappear. If you get a GREAT,the combo counter stays green,it doesn't matter if you get another MARVELOUS or PERFECT.

The PARANOiAs got their new X banners,and We Come Alive still has the same boring banner from X US.

HOW TO PLAY / MC DDR is nowhere to be found.

Interface is still a bit buggy,but not as much as X US.
The game is letting me down at this point.

On a good point. Remember that the chars now have a 3rd toastie? When you get the 3rd one (1st comes every 20/50 combo,2nd comes every 100 combo,3rd appears at random), a special effect appears around the char. The effects come from two SuperNOVA stages,hehe.

Also,I noticed something odd in SMM (don't know if it happens in Standard mode). When 2 girls have a dance battle,before they start dancing,they get into a weird stand. This doesn't happen when you're dancing against a guy. I'll check if the guys have something similar.

...wow, those characters are a let down , but who knows, they may pull a SN2 and lock the other characters up with a cheat code, and on another note, that songlist we have now, is that believed to be almost complete, or do we still have a lot more to unlock?

2MB songs, Trip Machines, PARANOiAs

I don't mean to be biased, but I grew up with Naoki and U1 and all of their crazy pseudonyms (well, okay, Naoki for most of my first year) so this songlist sounds infinitely better than US X to me. Sure I've gone through it before in Extreme JP, but this is like enjoying the songs I enjoy in a different, more recent interface.

This is like Extreme 2 only for Japan this time.

What am I babbling about?

Can someone remind me how you unlock Queen Zukin Episode 7 in the US version?

I know exactly what you mean. At first, I was afraid that a lot of the Extreme JP songs would end up on X as well. But X has a much more recent interface, with the updated timing windows (and marvelous!), as well as the better graphics and dancers, and music videos too. The big thing that's making me excited about the revivals is that X should have the updated timing adjust settings, like Supernova 2 JP and X US did. These settings make it sooooo much more enjoyable on my game mode-lacking HDTV.

Not to mention that I've already played most of the new songs on X US. They're old news. Now revivals? They're where its at yo.

piepie - I think it was unlocked by playing Alice's story or something? It was definitely unlocked by playing another character's story. I say Alice because of that whole Alice in Wonderland parody, and Queen Zukin played a part in that.

Can you believe that A Geisha's Dream doesn't appear in Queen-Zukin's story? I've got a sinking feeling it will be in Afro's story...blah!
