I got rid of the stupid song jacket part because it could've caused the thread to degenerate into something that gets it locked, and I don't want to be the one who cops the blame. We don't want a repeat of...never mind.


Unfortunately, I find a whole lot of it funny.

ANYWAY, "Over The "Period"". How's that coming along?

The farthest we've got on video is the first 2 steps (so we know the first 2 notes of the song, 1/16 of a measure in). FEFEMZ's apparently gotten a couple dozen steps in, but not on video unfortunately. We know that at least the first six steps are at the same slow BPM of ~32.7 (just barely above half of bag's speed), and that the total number of steps+freezes in the song is between 603 and 606. We can see the first six beats or so of the stepchart. That's all.

I'm guessing 32.7 is an estimate? That's suggesting a speed of 131 or most likely 262.

...Assuming TAG doesn't do what I fear he might do and go "nice intro, might do something different LOL JK 185 BPM GOOOOO"

The actual BPM can be bounded between 32.43 and 33.03 based on the only video we have that shows the timing of the first 7 steps. The first two beats (half a measure) scroll by in 109-111 frames at 30fps (accounting for rounding error both ways).

I would be very surprised if there weren't speed gimmick's. I can't think of any recent final boss song with out some. I can think of some that shouldn't have the ones they do however (I'm looking at you Trigger, those stops should be consistent or nonexistent.)

Ugh, the inconsistency of the stops in Trigger is a huge pet peeve of mine. They're so sloppy.

Anyway, at that speed throughout, there's really no way for Over The "Period" to hit 600+ steps in 2 minutes. I'd say it's a certainty it speeds up at some point.

And yeah, I'm estimating Over The "Period" to be 262, considering the Difficult chart is a fucking 15. Imagine if AM-3P had 32nds, and you have what this song likely will be on Challenge.

Good news! Starlight Fantasia (Endorphins Mix) will be avaliable to play once again as an Extra Stage song starting April 1st and it will be unlocked pernamently if you reach 1,000,000 residents in Yuniver Hills. Hopefully it's not an April Fools joke.

I seriously doubt they're going to loosen unlock conditions anytime soon. It hasn't even been a week since Phase 2 started. I would give them more time to get as far as they can. More of the top players will eventually get to access it and then we'll hopefully see more progress more quickly.
