I'd like to see Better Than Before from Universe 2 also. In fact, any of the Bill Hamel or Drew Campbell stuff would be nice, like 8-bit.

Releasing a PS2 game and a PS3 game close together would be a bad idea. Look what happened with Ultramix 4 and Universe: The spotlight was on Universe and Ultramix 4 was ignored (there's not even an Unleashed 4!).
Didn't KoH go bust just after UM4?They and what remained of the mainland group got merged into Konami Digital Entertainment, which is now the only US Konami house. A few years back Konami did a bunch of restructuring.

Back at the X AC location test in Irvine, I asked Ota about whether we'll see new Universe/Ultramix songs. He said that there won't be any at all for X, but there's a "very strong possibility" for future mixes. Take that as you may.

Just stronger than in X? One possibility or a certain group? Well, I shouldn't read too deeply into that yet.
BTW, Unborn and Come Back would be good CS crossovers.

Didn't someone ask about Wii songs at the test and receive a similar answer?

I think it was the same person, asking about both platforms.

That person was me. :p And yes, he said practically the exact same thing about the HP crossovers, and we wound up with some on X. O_o

...How many people want to bet that some songs from UNIVERSE are going to start appearing when the AC hits the US?
Plus, the addition of HP/HP2/FFP songs on the arcade version can open up the possibility of the Xbox versions to appear on the next arcade installment (if not this one).

I was hoping Konami would bring Ultramix content into SuperNOVA, but it was much less than I expected. Maybe it was because of their length (especially stuff from Ultramix 2), although stuff such as R10K and Gyruss (Full Tilt) are short enough (about 1:30).Plus, the addition of HP/HP2/FFP songs on the arcade version can open up the possibility of the Xbox versions to appear on the next arcade installment (if not this one).

Don’t think so. He's not wherein a trunk or looks like Captain Plaint.
Anyway back on topic. Was it May or June when DDR X US AC was coming out.

With our luck, August!
Also DDR was absent at Konami Gamer's Day, which is kinda depressing.

...wait, AceJay may be right...
Konami Gamer's Night 2009
Very odd...and no DDR announcement for this year, while other games that range from releases in the summer and fall are on there...
...This could be bad
My bet is that they are probably holding most "good" things until E3...if not, then we are screwed for this year

It possibly could have something to do with E3 being especially early this year (starting June 2nd, which is in the same time frame in which the DDR games were announced last year, compared to July 14th in 2008) and the fact that E3 2009 will be open to the public again, rather than just for press.
I should also quote this item from the press release on Konami's earnings and their plans for 2009:
So I doubt there should be worry about there being no DDR this year.
