I just took another look at Nezemarth's reviews last round, and...


I hate to be that person but can someone explain how this is acceptable? You can't just "give benefits of the doubt" and give points to files that could be genuine trainwrecks! Not suggesting that Braeden's file is bad, but this is dishonest voting; I could liken it to the sock accounts that began voting ahead Telperion and Feraligatr last TOI!

I know at the end of the song is gonna be some desynchronized because I did the bpm changes manually, only listening and setting. Was very complicated.

just fyi, the convention for beginner charts is to write them for players that return their feet to the center after every step, since this is what almost every fresh player does, and how tutorial screens with dancer animations demonstrate it. Doublesteps are only a valid critique when the player actually needs to chain together step motions.

Why grade files exclusively on the lightest slots, anyway? Even Basic charts, so long as they're not absolute junk, are nearly indistinguishable. There's no opportunity to show off your patterning sense or rhythm selection prowess.

I've been busy last week so I wasn't able to read the review up until now that someone pointed it out.
What you did was not right.

I can't take away the points to a week that already passed and the winners have already been announced, but I will tell you and everyone out there, please don't do this kind of thing. It ruins the point.

Ooooh, I'm interested in this Voiceless Week. My only issue is that I'm sub-50 points for this, and I'm a first timer for things like these.

You don't have to be over 50 points to participate, and the best way to get better is by just trying. If your first submission falls flat, then you listen to reviews and grow from there.

A few notes:
-This song was excruciatingly difficult to cut. There was a lot more editing that I had to do here, and one jump in particular is still noticeable, but at least I tried my best.
-I took a little bit of inspiration from the song's PIU charts (one section in particular stands out), although I did have to take some artistic liberties translating from 5-panel to 4-panel.
-The chart contains something that I myself said I hated, but I decided to make an exception here: footswitch mines. The sections in question were originally intended to be spins, but they can also be tackled as advanced footswitches (and there is more than one way to do the footswitches too). Rest assured, though, that those helper mines will be gone whenever I decide to re-release this file.

Delhi. I understand you hadn't learned about doublesteps, but something to note for the future is making sure your steps make sense with the song. Also, thanks for spreading the mine-marked gimmicks concept!
Arizona Cowboy. I don't know how but your steps were perfectly matched to this song? Unfortunately your sync was so bad that I couldn't hand this points or even an HM... make sure your timing is more accurate next time when stepping an old song.
