Besides, how is a potentially 900+ 19-footer CSP with difficult 16th runs at 220 BPM on ENDYMION not enough? I don't think they're going to top the difficulty of this one for years.
EDIT: And if case people missed it, this song has 954 steps + freezes, extrapolating from Fungah! getting 4190 points from 4 MARVELOUS judgements.

As of now, 11 freeze arrows, so I guess the chart might have 60 freeze arrows, then the number of steps will surpass Elemental Creation.

Oh wow, so that stream of stops has six rhythm changes in it. youtube hotlink snipp'd

edit: Counting by duration in 8th notes, Vdim's stop stream goes (3, 3, 3, 3, 2, 2) * 4.
Ace For Aces' stop stream goes (3, 2, 2, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 2, 5). The second half of that has double the number of changes compared to the first half.

For this mix, sure. It's conceivable that Konami would make their first 20 around the 20th anniversary of DDR, which would be the mix after this one.(

And just how is that not considered a 20?
So far, it looks to be easier and have fewer crossovers than OT"P"

All the videos of Endymion that I've seen display the "This will use up your HEAT POWER" before proceeding to the difficulty selection, so it's a safe bet (to me) that the Challenge chart is no different.

Re-sorted the SP 15 difficulty tier list on DDRCommunity. It should be more accurate now.

15.2 must be Horatio Expert. Both links have the challenge chart, though.

inb4 next Encore Extra Stage special event is that chart. You wouldn't even need Attack PFC for it to be stupidly difficult.

...that's the chart that everyone says is terrible?
It looks fine though?
I mean I know DDR is trash in telling you how to play but... it seems like a pretty simple shock arrow chart.

If you care to explain how dodging shock arrows that are literally in the middle of 16th runs (1/11th of a second between the shock and the adjacent arrows) is even remotely possible without basically suspending your entire body slightly above the dance pad via the bar, feel free to tell me; I don't exactly see how you can return both feet to the center panel every single quarter note in a 16th run very plausibly (or comfortably). It looks fine though?

Remember that shocks trigger if you are holding down the step, not just if you pressed it.
The shock arrows are literally harder to avoid here than in Pluto The First

Also, try this thing on a soft pad, and you'll understand the pain; it's a CS chart, not an AC chart, and most people don't have arcade pads available to play CS games with.
EDIT: Okay, just compare that chart to this one:

Well, for one thing, only Fungah has access to the Challenge chart for the time being (since he's the only person to clear ACE FOR ACES on ENCORE EXTRA)
2nd thing, it's hard as heck to get through on EXTRA STAGE restraints (i.e. 4 lives). That stream right at the end of the first 440 section is crazy difficult and the parts afterwards don't really let up either.

1: Ishtar Challenge on singles does the same tactic pretty much and that was just added.2: You don't return both feet to the center. Just one. Doing so makes it a simple 16th run with the shocks acting as a center input. It's how a majority of shock arrow charts work.

Yes? In this case, you may need to adjust how you do the drills but it shouldn't be THAT awkward to treat it as one simple 16th stream.Quote

Irrelevant. Pluto The First's Challenge debuted on a console version. 888 was also debuted on a console, and I don't think anyway was playing an 18 on a flimsy home pad.I'm simply looking at the chart as-is, not based on how one could play it.

EDIT: Okay, just compare that chart to this one:
And as I said, the CS one is still better in terms of being a stream rather than this awkward mess. It does look like the shocks here are meant to be avoided completely without a care of how specifically to do so, making it a complete mess in terms of flow. Not to mention the breaking up of the long streams into this is just weird and non-fitting.The CS version makes much more sense to me.
