anything with "DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION" in the title is a DDR game, whether you like it or not. ultramix is DDR, universe is DDR, mario mix is DDR, and hottest party is DDR. its also worth noting that most of those games are better than the first supernova. oh, and all of those psone games are DDR as well, despite not being PS2 mixes.
sony =/= DDR. konami = DDR. sony doesnt make it, konami does. it doesnt have to be on the ps2 to be official. its like saying that putting holes in happiness (nick zinner remix) isnt a guitar hero III song because its not on the ps3 version.

Extreme US didn't have an arcade interface, and neither did Party Collection.

*Thinks again* Oh yeah, you're right. But there seem to be more arcade "ports" of the game on PS2. The rest seem like 3rd-party products.

Think there'll be another PARANOiA? PARANOiA ULTiMATE Perhaps? |

But a new MAX can be a possibility. I just can see SN2 with no new MAX.

Of course the PS2 games have the arcade theme; the arcade hardware is based off of the PS2, so it's easy to port. If the arcade was based off the X-Box, then Ultramix would look like the arcade versions instead. Konami uses all of their other games to try out new interface designs so they can come up with the next big thing - if you do the same thing all the time then people will rag on you for lack of innovation.

Re: about pluto become a series, I doubt that.
Pluto and Pluto the First were released about the same time, and Pluto, the "final" boss song of the game, was remixed. The same thing happened with Fascination. Pluto just follows the big "theme" of the game, having 9 song be solar system based. So I wouldn't jump to thinking Pluto is a series.
I remember they thought the same with Fascination, when it came out.

That is true, but we have yet to see a Max song, so it would be hard to come to a conclusion of both Pluto and Fascination. I'd wait until they each have four songs under the respective title to make an accurate conclusion.

We've seen, unless Konami adds extra songs, all the boss songs. Through Boss Rush SN2 Ver. and Barrier, we've seen that new boss songs are Paranoia Hades, Trip Machine Phoenix, NGO, Pluto, and Pluto Relinquish. There was no Max song in there. I doubt they would add a new ultra-tough Max song without including it in the (so far known) hardest course in the game.

Also, I wish I knew what happened with that whole New Jersey location test. Did Konami screw it up or did they plan that to get us hyped up?

extreme 2s song wheel looks like a throw back to ITG's IMO with the arrow floating in the background. its just set up with the songs on the right and banners and difficultys on the left, where as ITG did the opposite. also, its pretty sexy looking IMO, i love the extreme 2 interface, but i'm also a fan of blue. on that note, the ITGPS2 theme is freaking HOT.
also, extreme 2, party collection, DS megamix, and all those other games that arent in the arcade still use that arcade STYLE interface, they are just re-skinned because its a new game. how can they not feel liuke the arcade games when they have the same interface, they just werent an arcade game? i dont get how you came to that conclusion.
also, supernova doesnt even use the arcade interface. you have to select options to change your mods, oni and non-stop have different ways of selecting the course(as well as having the same courses) plus you can use mods in oni, you have to select oni and non-stop differently, and the extra stage rules are different. its supposed to be an arcade port, but really it just has the same 5th mix song wheel we all love so much, as so much else is different about that game.
personally, i'll take a game that has good songs and step charts over something thats made to be an arcade port and fails horribly at it. SN2 also fails horribly at being an arcade port, but at least the game was good this time.
oh, and to someone who brought it up, its festival that uses the extreme US interface, not the other way around. extreme US was the first game to feature it.

Why would they reveal the boss songs at a beta test? It was more than likely their mistake.
Beat tests wouldn't be for showing som much of the songlist...

True. But it seemed like a beta test for the full songlist. They were only in nonstop and the challenge courses.

Umm, actually "that" theme is meant for Festival. & Extreme 2 US is using the Extreme JP theme, but they somehow decided to change the theme & stole it from Festival

Didn't Extreme 2 use DDR STR!KE's theme?
And Extreme JP's theme has not been used in any other games. (None would be worthy

screen shots showing the extreme US engine were out months before festival was announced.

Oops, i'm trying to say this actually:
"actually "that" theme is meant for Festival. & Extreme US is using the Extreme JP theme, but they somehow decided to change the theme & stole it from Festival"
Sorta typo error XD
Festival (& STRIKE) were being scheduled to be released later than the US, which is why everybody thinks that the JP version stole the US version, haha~

What I'm wondering is why would they have Japanese SuperNOVA 2 machine in Singapore?
