Official Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero 2, Rock Band, Rock Band 2, LEGO Rock Band, and Band Hero categories (for FoF/FoFiX)? How would you feel about those?

Given the simfile formats, they'll probably have to be custom zipped, Here's a link to the Simfile Discussion thread about it, it tells about the files involved and the format of them. I'm probably just going to do something like:

= Vocals
= Bass/Rhythm Guitar
= Lead Guitar
= Drums
= Band

...as far as difficulty ranges go; and UL them as custom zips (as well as album.png/jpg, which roughly is an equal of the "Banner" for simfile purposes). Now, will making an auto-pack like that simply package a folder full of zips? And is there a way to prevent auto-renaming (since each filename must match for FoF to work properly, IE: "Album.png" != "Eye Of The Tiger.png")?

Your previous post in this thread didn't exactly ask for a simfile category, and the question(s)* you asked can be answered by doing a test run with a simfile you upload.


* = the site's auto-zip feature relies on the name that you assign to the item you're uploading to name the rest of the files that will go in the zip. For example, if you plan on naming a simfile "silenttype is so awesome" and upload a file whose name is "silenttype is such a fag" as the mp3, the auto-zip feature will override the name of the mp3 to match the name that you have given the simfile. This explains why you see a notification that naming the simfile is important; if you decide to use the auto-zip feature, it will use that name to name everything else.

If I were to do that with custom zips, would it just include all of the zips in a bigger zip? Or is there a way to "custom zip" the entire group as well (so the folder tree extracts from that, rather than just being full of zip files)? o.O

Also, if you take a look at the GH/RB simfile format in the linked thread above, you'd see using the typical SM file structure wouldn't work anyways. It would (at this point) *have* to be custom zips, give or take "banners" (CD cover art).
