Z-I-v Summer Contest 2020

Ah! Leah! (_|/-\43D): Sync felt drifty on this, but I know that's more on the song than you. This felt just a little bit overstepped - most of the short 16th drills didn't feel like they were going to anything. The ending was kind of abrupt, too.

All in You (vincentw): This was a cute use of scroll gimmicks! They complemented the song and felt like they were there for more than just inflating the song's difficulty. Chart was also well executed.

B Who I Want 2 B feat. HATSUNE MIKU (chewi): I'd make a joke about foot alternations, but it's been drilled into the ground at this point :v This was a lot of fun! The steps fit this really well; there's really nothing to complain about here.

Cave Me In (DigitalBasic): This was enjoyable for the most part; I liked the way you charted the swing breakdown. The steps feel like they ended a little too early, though - I'd have extended the final freeze to the end of the last "cave me in".

Dead Soul (Daffa212162): This was alright, nothing really stood out as particularly glaring. However, you included the .avi on the simfile page but not in your zip.

Epic (Pika-Vix): This is definitely a 15 instead of a 14 with how jumpy it is. I normally dislike charts with lots of jumps but I thought this was okay, though I wasn't big on the 16th run at the very beginning or any of the other parts with 16th notes into jumps.

F/E/D/R (I Don't Care) (TonyAkita): This was okay, it flowed well and the steps fit the song for the most part. Some of the 16th runs were kind of overkill, though.

Fly you to the star (t7r): Cute chart overall, I had fun with it! The video wasn't in sync with the audio, though - it started slightly later than it should.

Gate one (ledgam3r1279): This was really fun! I liked the crossovers and most of the other patterns, but that one 24th note burst is Rude. Other than that, good stuff!

Get Your Wish (Czery): I like this song and I appreciate you putting in the effort to submit to this contest, but the steps felt very offsync, and some of the BPM gimmicks felt forced.

HiT! HiT! HiT! (CLOUDIO): Song isn't my cup of tea, but I really enjoyed this chart! No complaints here.

Kiss & Tell (K-Step): The BPM gimmicks really detracted from the steps for me here. it felt like the song went off-sync after one of them, but I'd have to go back and check where exactly it went bad.

Like It! (DDRDAIKENKAI): Liked It! I enjoyed how you charted the different rhythms in this song a lot.

Make It Werk (djVERTICAI): Steps were fine, but I feel like the song went on a bit too long and ended abruptly.

Now A New Day (mathio214): This is a marked improvement over your last two files! I'd have rated it an 11 instead of a 12, but that's really my only complaint. Everything was fine otherwise.

Quon (hypnoticmarten77): This was pretty good! I'd have started the second 85 BPM segment two measures earlier or later, personally - it felt kind of abrupt where it was. Very good chart otherwise, though.

Set Me Free (Pandemonium X): I enjoyed this a lot, but the last two stops kind of threw me off - I've played this twice and both times I broke combo there because I anticipate a third stop that doesn't come. That's a minor nitpick, though - it was really fun overall!

Sing For You (ohaiimian): I had a lot of fun with this one! The steps flowed very nicely. I'd have rated Challenge a 13 due to how short the cut is, but that's really all I have to say against it.

The Blue (talkion): This was alright, but I don't really have much to say about it. The thing at the end with the mines was kind of cute, though... but for some reason, my theme didn't call out that there were mines at all.

TO THE CLUB (tamtamino): This song unironically slaps and I thought the steps were cute! I feel like you could have done more with them, though... it felt like it was missing something.

Toy (Oni-91): This was a lot of fun and flowed well! No complaints here.

Yeah Oh Ahhh Oh! (The Legendary DJXYZ): I liked this, other than the stops. The first one isn't really telegraphed well - I didn't realize the mine was supposed to be the telegraph until I hit the second one, and the third went on so long that I kind of wish it was just a long freeze note instead of a stop.
