I didn't submit last week because I've been pretty demotivated in making simfiles since flashback week (which is why I'm surprised DVNO still placed 6th). I also know I'm in the VIP round so I've been wanting to experiment more with my submissions. I could not pass this week, given I love any songs with samples. In this case, with samples from other media.

Had to go with a Gabberdisco release again. This song isn't even 48 hours old as of this post. I really wanted to chart ...And Then He Lost It for this theme but I really want to take the time for a good cut of that rather than try to get it out as fast as possible. This one, on the other hand, I felt would be good for the theme and also a bit silly, so I goofed around a bit with it. I also just... it just clicked I guess. Popkiller (Gabberdisco Makeover) was a strong second choice though.

No simfile from me this week, sorry.
I couldn’t find a good song + I kinda was too busy with tests and I had a lack of motivation as well.
Hopefully the theme to be announced later will be more of my speed.

AS I AM TOTALING THE RESUL- oops sorry, I must have had caps lock on. Anyway, as I am totaling the results, I will let you in on this week's theme...

For this theme, either the entire title (excluding the subtitle) or the entire artist name must be in all caps: The song title and/or artist must have at least one capital character and no lowercase characters to qualify. Any alphabet that has some equivalent of lowercase and uppercase letters counts.

You aren't allowed to just type the song name in all caps; the official song metadata found on a online store or music streaming service must be listed in all caps. Also, since featured artists are usually listed as the song subtitle, they do not count as the song's artist, so they do not need to be in all caps.

I assume featured artists are okay? in other words, if one artist has CAPS but the other one doesn't, the song can still count? I usually put the featured artists in the title field, so that's why I ask.

in other words, if the song is "Title feat. artist name" by "ARTIST", does it qualify?

Featured artists do not need to be in all caps, regardless of whether they are listed in the song name or the artist name. So all of the following are allowed:

TITLE feat. artist / Artist

Title feat. artist / ARTIST

Title / ARTIST feat. artist

Subtitles like Love is Eternity ~SF SYNTH TRANCE MIX~ are allowed right when all else is mostly lowercase like the artist and main title
Do acronyms like U.S.A count too

Anything that is listed in the subtitle tag for the simfile is completely ignored. So, the subtitle alone being all caps is not enough to qualify.

Any symbol that does not have a lowercase/uppercase equivalent are also ignored. In other words, there must be at least one capital character and no lowercase characters. Therefore, acronyms like U.S.A. are valid.


It appears that someone accidentally gave out too many points for their votes, so until the issue is fixed, I cannot post the official standings. However, since you all have waited long enough, I can announce that without a doubt, VanEden has guaranteed himself a spot in the VIP Room by placing third! It may not come as a surprise to most of you that once again, Gameoson has finished first with djVERTICAI not far behind in second. Congrats to these three amazing simfile artists!

Once the situation is resolved, I will post the full standings, including the 4th to 10th place finishers, and the vote spreadsheet will be made public.

BTW if someone can provide me with a proper cut of U.S.A/Joe Yellow that'd be great! I will send you the music file via PM
