Lately, I've been thinking a lot about someone I knew back in my early childhood. His name was Jeremiah. He was a very nice guy. But Jeremiah wasn't a guy. Jeremiah was a bullfrog. Yeah, we were really great friends. Like, we were practically inseparable. I may not have been able to comprehend any of the words that came out of his mouth, but at least I helped him drink his wine. And boy, he always had some mighty fine wine. The finest wines I've ever had! Oh, those were the days. I recently decided to check in with Jeremiah to see what he was doing with this life. It turns out that Jeremiah is now a retired multi-millionaire living in a beautiful beachfront house in Bermuda. He got all that money from 46 years' worth of royalty checks. Apparently, there was a song written about our friendship that was a huge hit back in 1971. It was recorded by a band named Three Dog Night, and it's called "Joy to the World." If you're not familiar with that song, the story you just read is a paraphrased version of the song's first verse. And if you do know the song and didn't realize that you just read a paraphrased version of the first verse, you're probably feeling very ashamed right now.
