Picked up Shovel Knight on the Switch yesterday cause it was on sale! HOLY COW ITS AMAZING! Ever since this morning I've had "La Danse Macabre" stuck in my head and I cant get it out!

Shovel Knight is a solid game, definitely one of my favorite Indie games released that year.

I still have yet to play any of the major updates though save for a bit of Plague Knight. I'm glad it is super successful.

Personally I wasn't a huge fan of the Plague Knight update. It's not bad, I just really prefer how the original Shovel Knight campaign controls.

Haven't played Specter Knight yet. I should probably get working on that.

Plague Knight definitely controls weird, but I do appreciate the work they put into his controls. This blog post goes into quite a lot of detail to explain why they made him control very oddly and why it is so fitting to the character.

I honestly love hearing design decisions like that. It's a reason I love this whole article talking about cameras in 2D games from the creator of Mushroom 11.

When I saw the news for this the other day, I had a flashback to the day my PS1 memory card broke. Definitely looking forward to this, but I really wish it was coming to PC or at least the Switch. This has forced me to assess my options lol

If it's anything like the N. Sane Triligy and how that's coming to the Switch this summer, then the Reignited Trilogy will probably also get ported to the Switch about a year or so after the PS4 release assuming it sells well enough.
