In SM 3.9 and variants, convert it to Xvid using external video editors. In SM 5, use h.264 instead.
If you open in any media player, install or update all codecs.

minor error:

most of HYPNOTIC CRISIS's 4th mix charts differs from it's ultramix charts according to "The Cutting Room Floor". SANA MOLLETE NE ENTE had it's standard charts changed in DDR ultramix as well.

We might want to take a look to confirm this. (Sorry about the link placement because of emojis issues within the link's domain. replace the emoji with ": D" with no space.)

Small gripe that I'm sure isn't a big deal. The categories for DDR GB Disney Mix through Oha Sta are completely empty... the only one that has actual simfiles is DDR GB 1. I remember the other folders having simfiles a few years ago, but now they don't...? Just wanted to point that out.

2ndMIX mode songs are also using the older Extreme banners instead of the newer ones, as pointed out on Reddit.

Also checking on that I noticed that e-motion and Genom Screams are in the Club Version category instead of the 2ndMIX category. DDR A sorts those two songs into 2ndMIX, so those should probably be moved like the Solo songs were moved to 4thMIX.

Probably just an oversight but kinda weird since they were just updated, but why aren't Trip Machine and Make It Better in the 1st Mix category? I had to search for Trip Machine to figure out where these were. Same for Paranoia KCET and Make a Jam in the 2ndMIX Link Version category, all the KOs in 3rdMIX Plus. It's kinda confusing some times having some songs where Konami officially puts them but others where they made their first arcade appearance, then others still in the home version that they appeared in before being in an arcade version.

Edit: Also can we get the 1st and 2ndMIX packs updated please? They're from a couple months ago so they don't include the newly added videos.

The U.M.U × BEMANI songs were updated to have their 4:3-pillarboxed jacket videos from DDR 2014, but out of these, only Determination did not get its jacket video. Could that be added too?

When the 2ndMIX simfiles were updated BRILLIANT 2U was left with its 4:3 Extreme 2 video (which also isn't encoded properly for the version of ffmpeg in SM5 and causes frame rate issues). Can we get it updated to have the proper 16:9 video with the blurred pillarboxing from the arcade data, like the one PARANOiA has? Actually most of the older songs that were in PS2 games need this, but BRILLIANT 2U stands out because the rest of the packs videos are new. Some songs like Blind Justice are awful with the 6 year old video on SM5, so it's not just the Extreme 2 songs that need better encoded videos from arcade data.

And speaking of BRILLIANT 2U and PARANOiA, could their 2ndMIX MODE videos be placed in custom ZIP files too?

Also razorblade has been doing god's work updating these simfiles as things are pointed out. I hope I'm not coming across as pushy, I know there's a shit ton that needs to be done with the older stuff.

Yeah but 5.1-new doesn’t play .m2v files, and I tried for like 3 hours last night with the newest version of outfox to try and sync it to my setup like I would any version of 5.0 or 5.1 and it just won’t sync right. I’m not trying to shit on outfox because it works for so many others and has a ton of great features with a ton of work put into it, but I’ve never been able to use it. I’ll check your download for Blind Justice out though, thanks for uploading it. If it’s also .m2v I might have to just start messing with converters and find settings that don’t make it choppy in SM5.

Whatever codec you guys are using to convert these to .avi works flawlessly with Stepmania and they look crisp too. Thanks so much for the work you're all doing with this. I had nothing but issues to the point where I searched *.avi in my songs folder and just deleted all of them, but the ones that have been going up this week and the one for Blind Justice that Axel just posted are freaking perfect (no pun intended).
