BTW, I can't remember reading it in either this or the CS thread, but have we established that if sonic-coll. = Naoki, neuras = jun? Or is both Naoki? I don't want to have to wade through either thread to find out.

as for neuras, I would REALLY be surprised if it ended up being jun.

yeah I listened to some of that music and especially the when the fly buzzes by remix (go to 0:37 and further) makes me think it could be him/her... but thinking of Flourish compared to those hardcore songs, I dunno... I highly doubt they're the older in-house artists though, I think they're commissioned.

The main problem I have with step patterns such as those that go from 1U to 2D or 1D to 2U in one beat is that such charts always look like they were made by people who don't play Doubles (one such person must have written several X charts ).

If done correctly, though, you can make stretch steps feel perfectly smooth (.59 and Two Months Off come to mind).

For typical SN2 crap. It's essentially the dumbed down-ness mindset of that mix applied to Doubles.

SN2 had some epic doubles charts. Me Against the Music, Fire, L'amour et la liberté (Darwin & DJ Silver remix), Why Not, Uranus (Challenge),
Two Months Off, Stealth, Captivate, Angelus, SUNRISE, not to mention the CS cross overs (Stargate Heaven Future Love Mix, Fly Away -del matador mix-, etc) Mars Wars 3 is difficult, but it's just different, still fun to play. Arrabbiata is the biggest piece of crap. SN2 in general had some charts that brought in rarely used step patterns that made you stretch.

I expect see a real double play in the mahcine no stepmania-make, i still have hopes for single.

Arrabbiata double is really fun.

Yeah, but I find it near impossible to do without bar hugging. On Standard I find it a more appropriate chart for Heavy.

Man, I tried that song on foot in single, and I never had so much fun doing awkward turns. But I would like "RevenG" and all of Naoki's RevenG alternatives to have those songs with crazy turns and steps other songs don't tread upon. Like Afronova in 3rd mix, Tsugaru in 7th, and Arrabbiatta (sp?) in SN2.

I just realised...

If DDR X arcade has almost the same new songs that were in our game, that means we actually got an arcade acurate DDR X and isn't that what we've been wanting for so long? Now that it's happened, people are complaining about no new songs

Don't forget Exotic Ethnic, heavy doubles had some pretty cool spinning
