i've also only played it on CS, its possible the arcade timing makes the offness more obvious, like D2R on festival doesnt feel off. i got 7 greats on HDV heavy on CS, so i do care about PA.

Why do people still think there are ANY 16ths in Healing-D-Vision's music at all? Background of the song? What are you talking about? The whole song is in triples. EVERYTHING is in triples. Is it really this difficult?

In terms of playing it, yes it is difficult, but if it is fixed for the triplets, then I can put my edit to rest. Eventually I'll post my many e4dits on YT if i can ever get a camera or a better cameraphone.

Anyways... X-Specials look fun, but I can't really justify this until I actually look at the X-Specials whan someone can actually get vid footage. Hopefully this can be done before X number of people grow impatient (or is it too late for that...)

A synth with a 16th pattern is thrown in at the speedup with the triplet pattern still in the background. Then, 8th note kick drums are thrown in during the crossover stream of death, again with the triplet pattern in the background. It's a horrible song from a musical standpoint.

Probably not, as Butterfly et al were Edits as opposed to Specials.

From what I heard on 2ch, the X-Specials are supposed to be in the same vein as the Groove Radar Specials.

However, they most likely put a higher quality version of the song for PARANOiA (X-Special). Just check out Dynamite Rave ("AIR" Special) compared to the original, or any of the Groove Radar Specials compared to their originals.

to me those look really fun, even though I have never done double steps before.

Hm, perhaps every old (1st-EX) song on SN2 or X has been remastered, I've always noticed this with DEAD END.

Some of those stretches make you go "WTF?"

Eh, I'll stick with the original Doubles steps (which, unlike the original S-, was written after Konami started giving a damn about step quality). I imagine Singles is an improvement, though.
