Hi, I think there's an issue with my vote. It says I gave a 5 to .59 -BOOTH BASS REMIX- but my 5 vote was for Shakin' 31.

Honestly 70cm did better than I was expecting considering what I tried with the rolls. Usually when I try something new it ends up a total disaster points-wise. And in hindsight the sync at the end is really wonky so that makes it even more of a surprise. So thanks to the 3 people who were willing to look past those things lol

↑The rolls sections were one of the reasons why I voted for your simfile! They reminded me of the Max Period chart, but with rolls it worked much better.

Pretty proud of myself this time around. :’D Improvement was my goal and I’m glad I met it!

Surprised Cheese Fest 3000 did pretty well but mostly because of how silly I made it.

I'm quite stumped with this week's theme since I don't have many covers and I could totally cheese it with Touhou covers (like actual covers, not rearrangements like Bad Apple or anything) but I don't want to even go that route. I'll have to look around for this one.

I completely disagree here. The rolls might seem like a good idea on paper, but because of the way you have to hit rolls to keep them alive it actually makes them way harder to do. Rolls need to be hit once every 0.35 seconds in order to stay alive. Otherwise, they're dropped and you get a NG. Thing is, 70cm's quarter notes about 0.4 seconds apart, meaning you can't just do this like you would in MAX.(period) or Wadatsumi:



So in order to do the footswitches in 70cm, you have to do one of these two things:



The first example isn't as bad, but still really annoying to play IMO. Don't get me wrong, 16th minijacks can work in some situations, but for this song I think it's an unfair difficulty spike that doesn't even fit the song.
The second example is basically NGO. I'm sure I don't need to say much else.

So, yeah, this might have worked in a faster song, but at 149 BPM you really need to use holds if you're gonna do Wadatsumi footswitches.

@vincentw Would it be possible, in the image, to sort the 0s by who submitted a file (KevinRocker/K-Step/"_|/-\43D"/Spork!/etc.) first, and who didn't submit after them (me, Astroman129, Mr. Music, Oni-91, others)?

I did freeze arrows at first but they kept dropping on and off so I went with rolls instead and that worked a lot better. My judge difficulty was at the default 4 so maybe I should have tested using stricter timing? And I didn't want to ignore the vocals there but I also wanted to stay consistent with 16th usage so the Wadatsumi/MAX.(Period) patterns were my compromise. Not a very good compromise apparently.

Oh well lesson learnt.

My judge is also at the default 4 and I was dropping my rolls every time. =/

But yeah, personally I say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". It was clever thinking on your part but I think a normal Wadatsumi pattern with holds would have been fine.
