Just a few notes:

- Really, Nekomata master never dissapoint me. The song is really good and the chart is solid for a 13. Overall i really like this event with no complex unlocking methods, and good pool of songs.

- I don't miss the lack of Challenge charts because they really focus on make accesible and fun charts at this moment. Maybe there will be some event in the future but is not the main focus here.

- I have my doubts with this 3 new songs: There will be part of extra savior or just will be part of the main list by default? (I know these songs are part of games like Beatstream, jubeat, RB and SDVX but i never listened to it). If these song are not unlockable by extra savior (and i hope this happens because this game needs more KOs), DDR really put a lot of songs in a short period of time (6 from Baby-lon's Adventure, 3 licenses. 3 Extra savior and 1 Extra exclusive. 13 songs in total).

Jesus Christ. Literally 5/6 hours.

Is it just me, or are MFC's getting easier?

It's been like that ever since A's release. Adjusted timing windows and whatnot.

Not true - A timing was a mess at release. It wasn't until a couple weeks later that Konami nailed down the new windows.

They were impossible at launch, but now the timing windows are as stable as DDR's ever had 'em.

4/20 was the magic update that made MFCs as easy as they were today. There are some more things worth exploring with the windows, but we can save that for another day.

I'm going to guess not. I hope not as well. There are already enough hard charts available in the game, and it looks like A is going the direction of "fun" rather than "challenging."

I'm not sure if you're implying that "fun" and "challenging" are mutually exclusive, but I actually would not mind if Challenge charts to these event songs appear. There are a lot of stuff that can be done to them all (in a fun way) if you ask me.

Interesting thing to note: So far, I believe there hasn't been any challenge charts for ANY song that's in the DDR A folder. So far an interesting choice, not that I'm in any position to complain (I've never been a fan of most challenge charts, though I will grudgingly admit they're getting better at it).

Also, it's not like having horror-challenge charts remove the more reasonable charts - DDR has over 700 songs, only a (rather small) minority of them are boss songs with ridiculous challenge charts - if the top chart is some unreasonable challenge chart, go play it on expert instead. Or play it on difficult. DDR's catered to multiple crowds before. We have a difficulty scale that goes from Lesson by DJ to the four 19 footers.

EDIT: Also NewbStepper makes a good point in that some people do find hard songs fun (provided they're hard in a way that isn't *totally* stupid (see: VDO)).

EDIT #2: It seems to be that Bemani's toying around with different unlock methods - there's just giving the songs out at seemingly random intervals, there's EXTRA SAVIOR, and now there's Babylon's Adventure, which is sort of an "in-between", as far as unlocking difficulty goes. And there's also EXTRA EXCLUSIVE.

The idea of Challenge charts for the songs in DDR A kind of takes me back to in the groove, where no Expert chart was easier than 9 feet in the ITG scale. Considering the easiest Expert chart in the DDR A folder is a 10 footer (just DANCE ALL NIGHT), it would be neat if the songs got Challenge charts no easier than 13 feet in the X-Scale.
