steps for progress are granted depending on your grade (12, for AAA, 11 steps for AA, 10 for A, 6 for E is all I noticed) and then extra points are granted for Full Combo (2 steps) and First Play (1 point) iirc.

Also the progress/unlocks apply for the whole machine, according to someone who played on the Hawaii machine and has gotten most of the unlocks (I think all of them that can be obtained at this point)

The unlocling method is pretty fast and easy from what I've can tell.

Well I was going to post ZEROWOLF's play of MAKE A JAM, but someone beat me to it despite the fact the video was uploaded literally an hour ago.

I'm sorry if this is something that everyone else knows, but that video was uploaded 6 minutes ago, and your comment 4 minutes ago (from the time of this writing), meaning you are posting these videos literally 2 minutes after they've been uploaded, which means you are either the uploader of the video OR you're just checking things that vigilantly.

Pretty much all of these charts seem a bit easy compared to what they could be. I expect challenge charts at some point (MAKE A JAM! needs one the most seeing as how they kept the old charts.) Oni no Extra Savior anyone?

I absolutely adore "Dancer in the Flare"! It definitely has the unique sound of Nekomata-Master's work while adding some electronic synthesizer flair to it.

Also, I wonder if Challenge charts will be coming at a later date for the event songs. Maybe through Extra Savior a la Kind Lady, Malacca, and Paranoia KCET.

Looking at the details on Bemaniwiki (with Google Translate of course), it looks like everything can be unlocked on the event really quickly. Maybe slightly slowed if one uses Normal play instead of Premium, but if you've got a machine that has the same price for both, there's no reason to not choose Premium.
