Disney Grooves
Ok, I'll go ahead and make the simfiles for this game. I didn't know the Wii was emulated, anyone care to rip the BG and BN images?

A decade of pure dancing..not only on the pad but the centerstage itself

I'd love to help with this. If I could get access to the folder, we could divy up simfiles and get this done faster.
Check out my simfiles:
Pulsemix 1st Style (Currently being remastered)
Pulsemix 2nd Style (Complete, 25 songs)
Pulsemix 3rd Style (Ongoing, 19 songs)

Opinion

Okay, but there are people that would like to play these stages if they could. That's what the simfile databases at DDRManiaX, DDRUK, and now ZIV have been about, cataloging the soundtracks of all these games cause very few people in the world would be able to play them all otherwise.

Else I think we would have thrown out Disney Mix, Disney Channel, and Mario Mix some time ago.

I actually really like the music, but It's a Wii game, so I imagine anybody who wanted to play it could just play emulate it on their PC, and / or get the steps and graphics that way.

Idk what Aaron's goal for the simfile database is, but it's missing a load of canon songs, so I don't imagine this is very high priority, compared to a lot of the other missing things?

Missing things like Dancing Stage featuring Disney's Rave, which is infinitely more awesome!

Did you mean Alan's goal? And between DDRUK (There's your Disney's Rave) and ZIV very little needs to be done. Mostly double checking and error correction for songs that got minute changes that no one paid attention to... Which I believe is what Al is doing as he slowly imports the DDRUK database into his.

Well in-game there are no artists so it wouldn't hurt to have just the titles for now. I thought someone transcribed the credits already though.

Well from what I understand, there is no folder, just audio files and author scripts.
I'll put together the .sm files with sync and all text, and make the folders, then we'll talk about making steps.

If there are not yet steps, what text at all needs to be "synced" first?

The text is the gubbins that goes at the beginning of the file. Name, artist, offset and all that.

And I thought it was second nature that the file should be synched before you add steps.

Roughly sync, add steps, then sync again is what I do.

Yeah Text is song title, author, cdtitle, background, banner. I also rough sync, then sync again after steps.

Now since you just posted al2k4
Would you care to give me access to the Disney Groove Wii category so I can begin populating it. It makes it easier to work with others when there's a common spot with all the files. If you want you can create the category, give me access to it, then remove my access when I'm complete.

Hopefully I'll have the .dwi files ready for steps this weekend, so far so good. Got the game, found a save file with all unlocks, I'll have the artist names filled out soon (some of the ones assumed to be right were not quite). I don't think there will be a problem with this pack.

But are there only 4 difficulty charts per song?
Is it okay if I make the steps perfect to the audio rather than DDR style (using 1/12ths rather than 1/32nds)?

Oh and I also decided to go ahead and get the steps for The Jungle Book Rhythm N' Groove game from PS1. I don't think I can get the graphics from that game, but I'll have the audio, steps, and samples correct. So it will be an official game copy in case you want to put it in with the PS1 games on this site, otherwise I'll just have a .zip with all the files in it like the Mario Mix files under HellRazor35 / PrayerWarrior Simfiles. Actually maybe I can connect my PS2 to my DVD recorder and use it to copy the images, as lackluster as they are... Only 9 or 10 songs.

12ths and 24ths are fine. Artist names, just use "Disney Grooves" as the song wheel did not have the artist names.

Finished steps for 9 songs so far and sample start / length for all 40, I'll upload as I progress, after I get all the steps I'll do final sync, hopefully graphics will be uploaded by then because that will be the only thing I'm not working on.

Anyone can feel free to check the accuracy of the steps, they should be perfect since I'm checking this myself as well.

I have .dwi files with preliminary sync for all the songs but I'll go ahead and copy all the steps myself, so I won't bother uploading empty .dwi files.

EDIT: Finished steps for 12 songs. Anticipating a completion on the 26th. Some of these songs are actually pretty good, some of them are horrible, nothing completely awesome, I think my fav. now is A Spoonful of Sugar.

EDIT: Finished steps for 20 songs. Can someone confirm "He's A Tramp" on the hardest difficulty only uses 1/4 and 1/8th notes. The song sounds like it would take 1/12ths but after playing it and copying the steps they all seem to be 1/8th similar to "Only You" from DDR 4th Mix.

EDIT: Finished steps for 28 songs, still on track for a completion this weekend.

EDIT: Finished steps for 32 songs, may finish steps tomorrow, uploading data now since I haven't updated / uploaded since my first post.

EDIT: Finished steps for 36 songs and the hard chart for Jungle Beat, and uploaded all 36 step charts, should be done tomorrow with steps and may begin sync on sunday. Also all steps should be game perfect since the only song that could even have 12ths used 8ths instead. All steps should be extremely perfect including freeze lengths, although I may have missed something, I tried hard to make it absolutely perfect.

EDIT: All steps have been completed and uploaded, I will begin on the final sync now, someone needs to upload the graphics.

Sorta back on topic, I got a 100.00% (ITG Timing) on Colonel Hathi's March Hard mode (one easier than Expert) the 4-footer with C375 and NO Mines, it's only my 7th Quad ever and my first non-Heavy/Challenge quad.
