I think it's to add more flexiblity or something, but I agree with you. I'm personally more for freeze arrows

Because rolls execute a certain something that 16ths or freezes can't pull off. Can't quite put my finger on it. I mean, when they're used correctly, you can kinda feel what that something is, but it's hard to put into words.
