-U1 basically stepped into "the NAOKI shoes" in this mix, and he did it WELL, imho. A good mix of fun and challenging songs all around, and he uses a lot of his aliases this time around. Catchy stuff, too!
Really? What aliases does U1 have? I thought it's just U1, U1-[insert descriptor here], and formerly 2MB, which he doesn't use anymore.

I know I'm off topic from what you guys are discussing, but this is still related to DDR A. I just noticed this game has Bad Apple and Night of Knights on the song list. I wouldn't be surprised of it has that one vocaloid song "Luka Luka Night Fever" or even Hatsune Miku songs.

Luka Luka Night Fever isn't in this game. There are Vocaloid songs though, but GUMI sings them.
Also, nice to see you back and posting again, Ham

Out of curiosity, was the Edit Data feature from 2014 carried into DDR A?

As far as I know, players haven't been able to play edits on DDR A. Even on 2014, players could not edit songs that came after DDR X (with the exception of MAX.(period), as it was from EXTREME CS). I actually felt a bit sad when I was told my TERRIBLE EDIT charts were completely unplayable haha.

Yeah I'm pretty sure A doesn't have any edit data capabilities at this point. I don't really mind that much but there was one actually pretty good edit chart on my D&B's old X2 cab for Tenshi by Gouryella and I'm sad I won't get to play that one anymore.

Yeah, I bet you won't be the only one missing both the song and the EDIT chart.
Welcome, by the way!

Sorry if this is off-topic, but I'm curious, what songs are still locked from DDR 2013/14 in the American version? Also, are there any e-amuse unlock songs for DDR A other than extra savior like there have been in the past?

You can find the full list of unavailable songs in the American version here:https://remywiki.com/AC_DDR_A#Removed_Songs

EXTRA EXCLUSIVE songs: New Century (Level 1), and RISING FIRE HAWK (Level 2). You can't unlock these songs for regular play.Post #2130 · Posted at 2016-07-24 05:46:29am 7.8 years ago
Now that we have that, when will all the songs be listed in the Games section/USA DDR A get its own page in the Score Tracker?
Also, I just randomly remembered Miracle Hinacle, and i think it would be a great addition to DDR A if they decide to add more Touhou songs.

First question: these groups of songs are unlockable via EXTRA SAVIOR if you hadn't gotten them prior to DDR A. (I may have missed some specific songs.)BEMANI STADIUM songs (includes PUNISHER, HYENA, IX, Engraved Mark, etc.), PYRAMID songs (includes Adularia, JOMANDA, 嘆きのき, Cleopatrysm, etc.),
BEMANI SUMMER DIARY song (In the Breeze, パー>ピープーYeah!, Sakura Reflection, Tenkyuu no Jana),
"OSB" songs from Dec 2015 (Into the Blue, Poochie)
2nd question:
There isn't anything to be unlocked other than stuff available via EXTRA SAVIOR. No enjoy unlocks or anything.

On the subject of unlocks - If two people are playing with eAMUSE, and one player plays a song the other person unlocked before the Extra Stage, does he/she unlock that song, or do they still have to unlock it through Extra Savior?

The Hawaii location finally got their machine set up this past week. Got to finally visit it today and put some machine rankings in. Randomly worth mentioning that Lesson by DJ plays in the attract mode, and also after the mode select if you or the second player don't have e-amuse (you can skip it.)
I noticed that the players that set up their e-amuse account with the US D&B cards have "Hawaii" set as their region/location. I use my JP card which was already set up on a machine in Japan and it has "USA" as my region/location. Is it possible to change it somewhere?

Songs can only be unlocked via Extra Stage. Playing an unlocked song any other time does not unlock it if you did not have it unlocked.Post #2135 · Posted at 2016-07-24 01:48:33pm 7.8 years ago

You can change it on the game website, over at http://p.eagate.573.jp/game/ddr/ddra/p/setting/index.html. However, if your Konami ID is a Japanese one, you won't find individual US states on the location list (in the same manner that the US machines don't have Japanese prefectures in the location selection list).Running the Japanese text there through a translator (my Konami ID is a JP one) says something about needing to have played at least 5 times before you can change either your dancer name or location.

So, I've just noticed this. The DDR A location test is in London, right? Specifically, Soho. Specifically, Wardour Street.
The Jam predicted the future in 1978. God bless you, Paul Weller, please get A Town Called Malice restepped and resynched for this, yeah?

Finally got all the Single songs unlocked yesterday in DDR A. Took me a whopping 64 rounds to finally get it all done.

So, I just got back from the DDR A test location in London, I figured I'd put some thoughts:
The upgrade of a DDR X cabinet - the pads are fine (apart from one or two late-trigger greats), it looks good and all (apart from the small line damage on the screen) but it just doesn't seem to lend itself to playing visually, which can be a bit frustrating for quieter songs.
The location as currently is almost impossible to enjoy if anyone is on the ITG that is situated next to it. It feels like the ITG is on full volume and it drowns out pretty much anything else in the arcade when it is on, which prevents playing to the music, cause you can't hear it.
I was able to play it a bit on yesterday morning before anyone came in, and other than crashing the machine with the first song and causing a restart it was quite enjoyable, got black flags or PFCs on all the new western licences but my MA didn't seem any better than on any other game I've played with a marvellous window.

I need to ask about the D&B location in Times Square. I plan on heading to a Football game on September 11th (Go Bengals!) and I will be right nearby, and the obvious question is, how busy does the DDR machine get on Sunday past 5 pm?

The card line there can get rather busy on the weekends; I was part of an 8-group (some people do versus) line on this past weekend. Not sure if the new game hype will dissipate over these next two months though.
