"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana" |
I am told that an article on Hottest Party 3 is out in the current issue of "Nintendo Power" magazine. I doubt there's anything mindblowing in it, but if you're a subscriber or you see it at the store, maybe flip through it and see if you can find it.
Edit: Just looked at the contents on the Nintendo Power website, and the article appears on page 35 of the September issue.

IGN seems on the fence on the name of the game. They're sticking with "DanceDanceRevolution" and using Hottest Party 3 and X2 as alternate titled despite recent press releases. IGN sometimes uses the alternate title list to include working titles and code names, as opposed to the final release title.

http://ps2.ign.com/objects/022/022418.html
It's also interesting to note that "DanceDanceRevolution (2009)", their original entry for the cross platform game, is in their database as a different game from the two linked above. As if they expect the names to be the same, but the games to be unique and separate releases.
Edit: The entire IGN network, naturally, is listing DDR the same way. GameSpy and GameStats. These are the only sites I've found that even have an entry for HP3 or X2, does anyone else see these games listed in an official database anywhere else?

Whoa, a mech suit? Nice! Hope there's a mech character! I like U1's new costume. Definitely better than the floral ones he had in HP2. HP3 can't come sooner!

This probably isn't even the case, but I wonder if that mech suit is meant to resemble the robots from THE STRONG JAEGER series. It does look a little similar.

Wow, I never noticed the mech suit the first time I looked through those... haha, I wonder. That's a really weird costume choice this time around.

I'd like to point out that Gamescom is less than a week away and we appear to have several reliable sources going to the event to get some information.
Based on the press release that Konami sent out, playable versions of these games will be on display. The only questions are what formats will be shown and how these demos will differ from those at E3 (if at all). Hopefully there will be some added things, considering the last demo shown was over two months ago...

If you get the chance to, ask what percentage of the tracklist is expected to be cross-region, or if the issue regarding that will be "any different than usual." ;)

Same here. It's NINTENDO Power, not Sony Power.

Well that settles it, I expect to see PS2 screenshots in the next DDR article featured in Official Nintendo Magazine (UK) or else I shall be sorely disappointed.

So I imagine the article itself didn't have much info that we didn't already know? Does it say anything about the board game Story Mode being in HP3? I'm looking forward to hearing what comes out of this upcoming event. I'm sure HP3 will be shown off (especially with the novelty of the Balance Board) and I certainly trust that more modes and songs will be visible this time. When does the event begin? Where can we expect coverage?

Event begins August 19th in Germany.
I was told that the Nintendo Power article had nothing new in it, just the addition of master tracks, balance board mode etc.
Edit: should note that the 19th is an event for the media and industry professionals, with the public event starting on the 20th.

Between the YouTube tags should go only the 10 characters after watch?v=, not the whole URL.
So for that video, you would write:
[ youtube ] kmoAMDOF7fM [ / youtube ]
And get this:
