This year marks the 15th anniversary of the first official ZIv Simfile Contest ever hosted! However, I didn't want this to be the first year since 2010 without an official Zenius -I- vanisher Summer Contest! So I am hosting my own!
As tribute to the classic summer contests that I grew up on, the rules will be very simple and follow in ZIv Summer Contest 2010's style.

One week will be up for submissions, then the next will be judging.
JUDGING: Simfiles will be voted under an easy score system. Pick your top 3 favorite simfiles of the week. The system goes like this:
1st place: 3 pts
2nd Place: 2 pts
3rd Place: 1 pts
RULES:
1. You can NOT vote for your own song
2. ALL SONGS WILL BE PAD CHARTS. They can be DDR or ITG style.
3. Autogen steps of ANY sort will NOT be allowed.
4. You can have more then one entry. 5 is the max MAX TWO ENTRIES PER ROUND.
5. Must have at least

6. Banners and Backgrounds are not required, but they are suggested
7. When submitting your simfile, it needs to be the weeks theme, then the song title. EXAMPLE: DDR EDIT - Healing Vision
8. All songs must be under 2:30. (In less the theme of the week says other wise)
9. All songs must be under the old 1-10 DDR or ITG's 1-13 Rating system.
9. All songs must be under the X-Scale rating system of 1-19.
10. You are required to vote or else your entries will be disqualified. refusal to vote = disqualification for the week

DEADLINE: I will keep the deadline as it was fifteen years ago at Monday @ 5pm EDT/2pm PDT/9pm UTC. Late entries are accepted up until 3 hours after the deadline, but please do not submit late every week or you may be disqualified. Late votes are not accepted.
Please understand that this contest is an effort to keep the wonderful site of Zenius -I- vanisher -5th Style- II alive, so all discourse regarding this contest should be kept to ZIv.
SCHEDULE: Weeks will alternate between voting weeks and stepchart weeks.
Speaking of which, the theme to ZIv Summer Contest 2025 Round 1 is...
[Round 1 - ZIv EDIT WEEK]
To meet this theme, you must submit a stepchart to a song that has been previously stepped by someone other than you and uploaded to ZIv. This can be an edit of a DDR XX original, a song from a previous simfile contest, or any other song that does not originate from DDR itself. So no DDR EDITS, but any other song appearing on ZIv is fair game. Feel free to use the search function to see if your song counts for the theme.
I think it goes without saying, but DO NOT COPY ANY OF THE STEPS OR GRAPHICS FROM THE FILE YOU ARE EDITING. Please make a new simfile entirely, just using the same song that they did.
The deadline for Round 1 is July 21st. The round will officially start on the 14th, so please do not upload your simfiles until then.
If you would like to sign up for the contest, please message in the thread saying you would like to sign up! Remember that you will be making at least one simfile every other week, so if you are participating in other ongoing simfile contests not associated with Zenius -I- vanisher, you are still more than welcome to participate!
I have one more thing to mention:
The winner of each week gets to choose the theme for the next week! So if you place 1st in the week, you get to decide what the theme that everyone in the contest will have to follow!
Unlike previous contests, there is no winner of the overall contest and no VIP room, so each round is a new chance to take 1st! Give it your best each week!
