The Dancemania stuff in general have some pretty awful charts, especially doubles.

I don't get the hype of hoping they get revived. Not many songs are good outside the game in the first place other than being from DDR.

Also we are still getting speculation on what will happen when we have a whole site for what will be added. Let's not do that and enjoy what is being added because this is honestly much much more than realistically expected.

It's like... 8 hours to drive to a DDR A from here but this event looks really cool. ;_; There's a rumor one might pop up an hour away in December but it'll be too late aaaaaa

I mean... that's pretty much the point I was already making?

^That's exactly the point. As far as songs are concerned, people will simply say that "why don't you play the mixes that have them" rather than revive them. Considering the fact that there are only a few songs that are arcade exclusive from DDR X and older, this means that the songs most people want are available in home consoles. I doubt reviving Dancemania licenses is an option but if Konami will do that (which I doubt) then okay.

I was tempted for revivals before but I knew someone would say that.

I just played DDR A earlier and I must say. I absolutely love the nostalgia factor of this event, being able to play the old themes other than 2nd MIX on an HD cabinet. Even if the song selection on each categories are kinda weird, (like come on, no Dance Dance Revolution in the EXTREME category?) it's really awesome to see remastered BG animations from the early games. The nostalgic fan in me makes me really happy.

Oh, and by the way. It is possible to set speed mods even on the 1stMIX theme. You can use the arrows keys to set the speed options like you would as usual. I saw DDR-KOJI use speed mods in his videos.

Nobody actually wants them back for the charts, just the music.
The music easily accessible on their computer, so the songs with crap charts never need to come back, not that they ever could.

Somewhat true, in my opinion, but there are certainly exceptions. 4th Mix Plus, 5th Mix, and DDRMAX2 have several good doubles charts, and there DDRMAX has some killer singles charts.

As much of a rabid Dancemania fan as I am, I'm fine with anything short of some strange licensing deal that wouldn't apply globally.

I'd be pretty cool with DM revivals. If they get Challenge charts, that'd be cool too. But I'm not expecting that to happen.
