Opinions:
- Pierce the Sky and Sakura Sunrise were pretty good.
- Shiny World is the complete disaster this time around.
- バンブーソード・ガール is actual fire and is the chart it should've gotten day one because every other rhythm game charts this one way harder than DDR for some reason so finally we catch up
- びびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびびび
- Firestorm is a meme and I love it because it's SDVX laser weirdness in DDR lol
- ΩVERSOUL's footswitches are neat
- "Honestly, Lachryma doesn't seem too bad-ahahahahahahahaha that ending."

We still don't know what song DDR has in the Ichika event, but at least is a jubeat crossover. Bets?

EDIT: Tomorrow they will announce it, but if you are curious IIDX will receive a SDVX song and jubeat will receive a DRS song (besides Get on the floor)

I'd love to see In Your EyEs, or pedigree but it will likely be Dream drip macchiato because we've gone too long without a TAG song in DDR.

You forgot Riot of Color, which is unlockable in Extra Savior PLUS.

Wouldn't surprise me if it were Our Love or that 少女 song from U1.

The challenge charts are interesting. I didn't expect such high difficulties all across the board. I think Lachryma is only rivaled by Endymion at this point.

Speaking of, does this event make it so players can unlock the Infection songs outside of that event?

Lachryma is the best 19 in the game, bar none, and is exactly how Konami should have been charting 19s in the first place. Same with Bamboo Sword Girl and 18s (although there's obviously good 18s in the game at this point).

Shiny World is one of the dumbest charts in the game and wouldn't even be a 16 if some intern hadn't decided that 32nd note crossovers were a good idea.

Some thoughts of the new Challenge charts

The songs from Replicant D-Action receiving new charts was long overdue. I feel like the new charts flow nicely for all three of them (including Shiny World, which I feel gets too much crap for the 32nd crossovers. Other charts have gotten away with similar stuff...)

As for Bamboo Sword Girl, am I the only one finding it a tad overcharted?

HyperTwist felt pretty low-key for an 18, until the Healing-D-Vision crossovers appeared.

I also understand that Bi is a bit of a ”meme” chart with the jackhammers. But on a serious note, what are you supposed to do during that long jacks section? Footswitching?

As for Firestorm, I’m torn... I’m told it’s a meme chart as well, and they certainly made use of that ”5th panel” trick with those shocks, but I wonder if they could’ve done something else. That’s just me being that old conservative dork just thinking that Challenge shall be harder than Expert, no exceptions.

Speaking of weird patterns, Oversoul also has some awkward jackhammers that I’m unsure how to tackle them. Not as problematic as Bi though

Lacryma? All I can say is, Nageki no Ki on steroids!

That is to say, I was very happy with these songs getting Challenge charts. Some really got that justified boss song status in my mind’s eye (especially Lacryma and the RDA songs). I wouldn’t complain if more challenges turn up later down the line

The only gripe I have with Shiny World is, if you compare it with the chart, is almost the same except if you did a 16th crossover now you did it as a 32th, so is nothing near as original compared to Pierce the Sky or Sakura Sunrise.

It could be better if they did the chart as an easier shock arrow one instead of this, imo
