Just checked my file again. No sync errors this time. =u=
I guess I finally learned it's not a good idea to put the MP3 and OGG in the same folder. (I'm also grateful it didn't affect my score for week 2. I may actually have a chance in this...)

So I recently discovered that I forgot to rebuild the ZIP like an idiot once I replaced GALAXY HidE and SeeK's graphics. Therefore, the graphics in the Week 3 Download ZIP are the old ones. If you don't want the banner and background to look like actual garbage, please download the banner and background individually from the simfile page.

Hey everyone, just putting out an early morning bump to remind everyone to submit your votes for Week 3 if you haven't already! You have a little over 5 hours remaining, then once I have all the votes tallied, the 16 of you who survive will have the green light to submit your files for Week 4. Exciting!!

Are the scores wiped for Week 4, or are the top 15 keeping the scores they earned?

That's a very good question actually. Let me take this opportunity to lay out the rules for the second stage:
1. The top 16 players are moving on. In the off chance that there's a tie right on the cut off line after today both players will advance.
2. Scores will reset back to 0. You can see the difference even in the top half after just two rounds (18 vs 80pts) it would be a total runaway otherwise. This time of course you'll only have 2 weeks to make your mark before the final round.
3. If you are eliminated, you can still vote. It's not required, but if you still want to keep up with the competition and show your support feel free to stick around from the sidelines.
Other than that it's business as usual. Everyone has been pretty spot on so things are running nice and smoothly so far, but as always let me know if there are any other questions.

Since I didn't have time to write feedback for every song this week, I wrote some brief feedback for the files I did vote for this week:
Feel free to ask me for feedback regardless! I should have it back within a day or two.
+3 Akari is Here
- Enjoyable patterning, stylistic doublesteps and crisp rhythms (albeit a little inconsistent in the middle) made the vote for me. Reminded me of the strengths of DDR style.
+2 Summer (2019 Remaster)
- Similarly fun patterning as expected from Marten. It drags a bit due to the long cut and repetitive nature of the song though.
+2 Can't Escape
- Enjoyable use of swing rhythms and accurate patterning earns this song 2 votes from me. It could've used a few soflans to accent the song, though.
+2 GALAXY HidE and SeeK
- Excellent job balancing the piano, vocals, and percussion. Smooth patterning flow
+1 Shiva
- Did not expect an 18 to this song at all, but it works. Streams look fun and stand out to me
+1 Isekai Quartet
- Nice patterning variety, good balancing of vocals with instrumentation
+1 Party Time
- Great use of twists, overall clean chart.
+1 Next Generation
- Good patterning; audacious choice of going with a mod chart earns me points
+1 Trinity Homerun
- Really enjoyable patterning and nice use of 12/24ths. Some flow breaks here and there and weird breaks in pattern symmetry prevent me from giving this a higher score. Reminds me of DDR 2014 era charting.
+1 - Hella Deep
- Really unique effort. Some jank with 24ths that should be 16ths in the breakdown near the end, but I love the BPM gimmickry. Should be a 15, not a 14.
HM - That's How You Write A Song
- Appreciate the use of 24ths in the middle. Overall good example of good karaoke stepping
HM - The Earth Light
- Nice use of jacks, although it's a bit harsh for a 14. Smooth crossovers and gallops. Should be rated a 15. Feels a bit similar to Psychedelic Intelligence?
HM - Night Night Night
- Clean patterning and interesting way to chart the rap verses. I wish you would've held back a little less on the synths though!

This is the best I've ever done in a ranked contest. Really hoping I can keep this momentum going over the next two weeks.
Congrats to everyone who made the cutoff! There's some very stiff competition here, and I feel that it can only take one bad week for me to slip out of Top 8.

I'm honestly kinda shocked that I'm managing to do this well in my first Z-I-v contest.
But yeah, my thoughts mirror tak's exactly, I gotta keep this up.

Made it to the next phase, but I know I need to step up my game if I'm going to survive the next set of cuts. The heat is on.

If I bothered to vote IIRC I'd have been in sixth?
Just shows what one set of votes can do. Rest assured I won't miss a week again!
