it's not just looking cool but it works perfectly! (can't say this about the rest of the room/flat though *sniff*)
Rwr4539: actually I wanted to comment on your setup yesterday. because when you look on the photo you can hardly concentrate on one thing at time and have to look on the whole picture as whole. I would expect this kind of setup in Africa or India not in Europe.

stsung, you should look into e-amoosement.
it's a server setup to mimic e-amusement. i can't really find the link now though, so you might be better off searching yourself.
erm, i'm also not too sure how open this is or legal, so ehhh. i heard about it from a person i know.

It's illegal. I'm going to avoid going into details.it's a server setup to mimic e-amusement. i can't really find the link now though, so you might be better off searching yourself.

ad legal/illegal: actually, I wonder what will happen if we come with GFDM and Beatmania IIDX to Japan Expo where the BEMANI staff should arrive as well. I wonder what will be KONAMI's reaction to those stands and other ones. (probably we should just use the PS2 versions, but even that is kind of "illegal in its way" and the ASCs?)
but that's just offtopic.

I finally took a picture of my setup!
Yeah, I have to kneel, because it's the only way to get the controller at the correct level. I got used to it after a while.
And when I go to my friend's house to play, it looks like this:
On a side note, I think this is the only pic ever of a PEE 2nd and an FP7 togeter, lol. Oh, and playing doubles on this setup? Freaking amazing!

@stsung: I'm guessing that's the DJ Dao RE. How does it play? Because if it plays and operates well, both play-wise and maintenance-wise, I'll be getting one, as it'll be the best I can do for 14 key play (I can't play 7 key anymore; my hands fight for space).
And of course, nice setup!

shinji16: it plays really well. at least from what I can tell. it feels like arcade. it operates well too. I had slight problems with the TTs misfiring from time to time. I have no idea why this happens but if you mod the TT and use mouse it works flawlessly (does not even have that lag the TT has by default). Maintenance wise...not sure about that yet. I have to put the contacts to the right place from time to time (but I move that Real Edition quite often so...), I had to make new plates for the RE as the ones used are pretty fragile. just a slight hit and it can break down. (it can arrive that way)
(if you go here, I uploaded there 4 photos of the damaged case/RE http://s26.photobucket.com/albums/c113/STsung/temp/ )
Still for me it was worth it. both the trouble and money (as dealing with Dao was a nightmare...)

Yeah, I almost bought the RE last year, but a bad experience with 13 CS made me buy shares in Konami stock instead. More than likely, I'll be buying an actual IIDX machine, and then running a mix of official boards and Lunatic Rave on it. Gonna be at least 2-3 years before I can get a cab...

Those are some pretty amazing setups people =O.
Tofu> How much does that smaller AC-type controller costs, and where did you got it? Also, I keep hearing about TT lag in these controllers, how much does it affect gameplay? Going from an USKOC to an AC is hard enough, and lag would only make it more nightmarish.

How many shares did you buy? At exactly what price per share?

No, it's KOC-sized.
