Oh yes, this brings me to a couple of questions:
1. Are there any requirements on how to title our submissions?
2. Where do we find default graphics to upload?

1. Title of the song please! But I guess as long as it isn't something super ridiculous you won't be DQ'd. Just make sure to put the name of the round you're submitting (in this case, Center of Balance) in the subcategory field.
2. It should be linked in the simfile category page.

Some cheesy clarifications which probably won't come up, but just to make sure:
- 8 consecutive measures, or just 8 measures total?
- Do measures have to contain arrows to count toward these 8 measures of not having edge arrows?
- 8 measures... regardless of tempo? Since that requirement feels much different in a 400 BPM song compared to a 100 BPM song.

Submitted! Click here to view
Title: We No Speak Americano
Artist: Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP
BPM: 125 ~ 125
Length: 1'57"
Requirements:
- Use only the center 6 panels for 8 measures. CLEAR!
- Use only the center 6 panels for the entire chart. CLEAR!
I used Warps into Holds to block out the lanes that are unused. Hopefully that’s fine (as Mines in outer two lanes are).

Is it PIU time? I think it's PIU time.
Stepping center 6 is pretty fun, so I think I'm going to go for the bonus requirement. Here's to hoping I find the time, and a good song.

Oh, by the way - if conditions permit, I'll be Twitch streaming a pad playthrough of anything submitted during the first week of each round on Tuesday or Thursday evening of the second week. In case anyone wants to see their chart in action before the voting phase

I just might enter this. I am DEFINITELY interested in this idea and will be following what comes out of it, whether I actually submit anything or not.

Late, but after some discussion:
- Consecutive
- At least one arrow per measure (treating each 'measure' as groups of four beats, so there can be a break more than a measure long)
- Regardless of tempo, since defining rules for BPM complicates things

Here you go, everyone! My submission is The Question is What Is The Question / Scooter!
I figured I'll whip up something unexpected before I'm out of town again. I honestly don't know how I ended up picking this song, but here it is! I didn't go full difficulties this time because doing it without the outer arrows is actually quite cumbersome.
Damn, is this what I do really late at night or early morning? I promise you all, I was completely sober lol
Anyway, I made sure the one chart I submitted does not use those at all.
Hope this is at least mildly entertaining to anyone watching or playing.

I ended up wanting a bit more freedom for some parts I thought should be more straightforward, so I just stuck strictly to the center 6 for the most dramatic section of the song... which came out to 16 measures long, so that should be fine.

Kylie Minogue / Step Back In Time
122 BPM
6 / 8 / 10
Only used the center six panels for all three charts (because god knows I'm not getting many points otherwise). Honestly it felt pretty interesting. It almost felt more freeing, if only because I could use simpler patterns without feeling pressure to go around the whole stage.
I'm new to doubles charting, have barely ever done it, so any and all feedback is welcome. I even had to slow down the rate so I could make sure my heavy chart actually flowed. That's not a good sign.

We all slowed down our reading speed substantially when we first started playing or charting double, I'm sure. I use a slightly lower reading rate myself to this day.

[Week 1 - Center of Balance]
Rate Cranky Hi-roller / rate-dat + Cranky + hi-low
TBF it's just Cranky with rate-dat doing BGA and hi-low doing BMS chart but the GDBG2018 album listed this as the artist so yeah...
BPM: 150
- - - 15 -

My very first DDR Double chart and I'm treating it like PIU Single lmao. I'm still figuring out how you do transition from each pad so maybe that would feel clunky. Might add lower difficulties (with only center six panels ofc) before this round is over.

I don't really know what I'm doing, and that's fine.
I've fulfilled both criteria for all three charts. There is some cute mine placement on the outer lanes on but that should be fine? Have fun, it's big and it's dumb, and there's a surprise in there that you will hate me for. There's a question mark on that BPM counter for a reason, and I feel that displaying it properly kinda ruins the joke.
...I ain't scoring shit, am I?

With a show of confidence that could only be described as foolhardy, Telperion strode up and onto the rickety bridge. How did he get so brave? "Ah! Yes! I have seen bridges like these before. As long as you keep your butt underneath you, move smoothly, and step firmly in the center of each panel, you'll- whoaaaaaa!!" The bridge swayed abruptly underneath him; only with a bit of quick footwork was he able to remain on the topside of the structure.
