Drastic Dramatic sounds like it's made by dj TAKA and OSTER project....
I'm gonna guess OSTER since if it was Taka, it would be BEMANI Sound Team attached to it.ポスト #162 · 2018-12-20 01:36:43pmにポスト 5.4年前

Oh man, this update just unearthed a bizarre memory for me.
Back in high school, I took a music theory class, and we had a project were we could pick any song and break down the instrumentation, note choices, chords, etc. and present the whole thing for the rest of the class. I was pretty uncomfortable about sharing my particular music tastes with my friends (since that would involve explaining the world of Japanese rhythm games, video game soundtracks, and doujin circles to literally everyone I meet), but I decided why not, and ended up picking ToyCube. I think I was trying to split the difference between the harder techno IIDX style I was more into, and the more calm instrumental fare that my band teacher and bando classmates might be able to appreciate? I remember showing a YT video of the gameplay for the song, explaining how sounds were assigned to each key being hit, and how the turntable was implemented--I even transcribed a portion of it onto lined music writing paper. I went pretty hardcore into it...and yet, even though I got a real good grade on the project, I still have this feeling that nobody there reeeeally understood what I was talking about.
...Especially my poor project partner who I casually pressured into going along with my idea. Oops. Oh well, I tried.
Anywho. Update's not bad. Could be worse. Camellia channeling his inner L.E.D. is fascinating.

So it's pretty much Tokyo shinwa 2. Song is ok. Not sure how it's based on GOLD besides yelling 2DX in the song.

The jubeat great retrospective songs from festo didn’t need to sound exactly like the games they signified.

It seemsto me that part of the melody is taken from Metallic Mind from Gold. That the only connection I can see.ポスト #169 · 2018-12-28 02:35:16amにポスト 5.4年前

They link with GOLD are only the GOLD RUSH references. Besides that, there is not other connection.
But the song itself is fucking banger. It a shame the Arc score songs are pretty much better than the last event (The bibliotecca of something ... Idk)

Can I just say that the trivia thing at the end of every game sucks? Reminds me of when I was a kid playing NFL Blitz at the arcade, and at the end of the game, I'd get these trivia questions about NFL stats I never knew about at all.
Difference here is that this is in Japanese, and the prize is an extra space on a confusing map. Hey Konami, can you bring back that awesome JRPG game you did with Spada? Or even do something like Cannon Racer from the last game? XD
Here's a couple of rankings from today's trip to R1, including a Full Corn! ;D

Beat me to it, but these unlocks are pretty good. Nice to see they are crossing over some old REFLEC BEAT stuff into the game now.
DRUNK MONKY is also a good choice for CS crossover.

Am I the only one who thinks DRUNK MONKY is one of the worst IIDX songs?
UNDERWORLD HOLOGRAPHY - At least L.E.D. is changing up his Drum and Bass stuff now. Song is ok
LADYBIRD - I'm not really a fan of the YUC'e songs so this one is just not for me.
Wolf 1061 - A fast Xceon song, and it works much better than I thought it would. Not bad.
Painful Fate - Nekomata saves the day! This song is fantastic.
Overall same problem as part 1 of the event, only one or two good songs in a mix of some bad ones. Crossing over Playing With Fire was a great choice. Glad to see that song get some love in other games now that Reflec Beat is dead.

Well it's one of the worst 5KEY songs so that's a fair assumption.

Drunk Monky always sounded like it was made in a day, and only a day, where it was unfinished...or was originally some 20-minute song that was supposed to have an epic synth melody or breakbeat samples, but we only hear the first minute of it.
They revived that over a Nouvo Nude song like Find Out? Shame. XD

They probably picked this given it already has 7-key charts on CS DistorteD. As much as I'd like more obscure beatmania revivals, we probably won't get ones that weren't on a PS2 game to begin with unless they really feel like making the new charts for it.
The real shame is that they haven't brought WHAT'S NEXT? over from CS DJ TROOPERS.
