You will need to edit the ddr_groove_data.lua file in the Scripts folder and find Lesson by DJ.

I don't think so bud, I could do it but as I said on Github, this is an edit from Inori's theme, I didn't make this theme from zero, so I don't know how exactly do it. Try using another controller for it. In my case, I use my PS4 controller via Bluetooth.

I know! it is too annoying right? It happens due the script "ddr_groove_data.lua". That script has the difficulties of songs that are in DDR AC and gives the exactly value. I still trying to find a conditional to make the GrooveRadar compatible with customs difficulties and edits of DDR songs.

One thing I'm wondering, is there a way to turn down (or mute) the "Full Combo" 'laser beam' noise? ^^; Somehow it seems a bit louder in this theme, and I couldn't quite seem to find the sound file in the files.

You can always find the appropriate sound effect and put it through a simple audio editor like Audacity and lower the volume that way.

The original game uses a bg video so it doesn't really matter to recreate it. I don't think there's enough effects to be able to recreate the bga well anyways.

If I can find which sound file it is, I think I dug through all of them. But I can check them again. need to download Audacity...

i would love that, but i don't have the knowledge or time to do it, i tried to do a sort of loop with a section that i found in a video, but it just doesn't fell right, so we'll go with a image for now.

I booted the theme up, and several elements were missing, and most of the screen was black aside from text and arrows. Playing on Outfox on a mac. Anyone know what's going on?

On 5.0.12 the speed function doesn't work so probably never knew about it. I know you have it a certain way and that's a-ok. Hi, I have an l-tek pad too. I disabled the speed function by deleting a few lines on the metrics.ini file (in the DDR A3 theme folder):
- On the metrics.ini file: delete/comment the following lines:
Line 1971: CodeSpeedUp="MenuRight"
Line 1972: CodeSpeedDown="MenuLeft"
- On line 1970: delete 'SpeedUp, SpeedDown'

Curilang isn't necessarily advertising it in the first post but he is updating this theme regularly, so keep an eye on the github page guys. There are added animations, sound effects, and even requested features added now (thanks so much for those, too!).
Edit: There seems to be a bug with the dancers/stages causing scripted videos to not pillarbox properly with the dancer/stage behind the video and visible on the sides. Other 4:3 videos that are one video rather than a script (like KISEKI or Baby's Tears SN2) will properly pillarbox. I'm not sure if it's the theme itself or the way the dancers/stages are programmed.
Oh and I noticed that the cut offs for grades are different from A20. Like 890k is awarding A+ instead off AA-. 950k is awarding AA instead of AA+. I can't find anything saying this was changed for A3.

You mean 5.0.12, right?The characters go in the Characters folder that is created by default in Stepmania when you install it. The stages, just unzip that to the Stepmania folder where Characters, Songs, Themes, etc. are.

Go to Sounds and search ScreenGameplay ComboSplash.

It is the way that the system is programmed. I'll fix it but probably with songs like ITG that has BGChanges by default you might not see DanceStages.

Kinda weird, it has the same score system that DDR A20 theme by Wyvern-D. Probably that happens because I made the code more optimized.

Download the DanceStages project by Encisso (link in first post) and put both folders (Characters and DanceStages) in StepMania folder. Here it is an example (Click here)

I believe the Dancers/Stages system also ignores the offsets for videos and plays them at beat 0 anyway (if the video is displayed on a stage, that is). A solution I made for this is to use a video editing program to offset the video so that it is more on sync with the music. Or edit the simfile's audio and beat 0 BPM to put the video on sync (usually by adding or deleting milliseconds of measure 0 silence). However, the latter approach often has me insert measure 0 BPMs that are either much higher or much lower than the song's actual starting BPM.
As for the grade score cut-offs, it just might be a StepMania limitation as it still relies on Dance Points/grade percentages. I have gotten borderline low 990,000 scores before and only gotten AA+ instead of AAA for that exact reason.

It happens because one video is not the same thing as one texture, with a video you can't put: "Start at second 2 with the beginning of the video".
