I've seen the pads on FutureMax, but even then I'm kinda broke, and by the time I've got the €130 together there's a good chance they'll be sold out entirely.
oh... i see. well... i don't think there's a lot of demand for metal pads these days, so i wouldn't worry too much about it.

If I had a chance to play DDR X2/X3, I would definitely pick
1. arcade - the only way to play DDR
The songs on the new mixes are very good, which is most important to me. And if e-amuse is on, I can compare myself to other people in the world. I guess it makes my scores more "official" and satisfying, along with the arcades having the strictest timing windows.
Also, the arcade pads, while I have run into problems on old machines near me, are still far superior to home pads. It is very hard to play doubles at home; unless there is a way to securely connect the two pads together, they will always slip away from each other.

2. My CS mats are inaccurate to the arcades; therefore, the arcade mats are very accurate for me. I use arcades to rank in Nonstop/Challenge courses and put my name/initials in.
4. I will use StepMania or hacked versions of In The Groove CS to play songs that were never released on home platform DDR games.
5. That's it. I mainly play DDR on a home system to be accurate to the arcades. I don't even need to pay money to play. There is a Training Mode to practice several songs and an Edit Mode to interpret step charts from those obscure DDR versions.

4. I have four DDR CS games (Mario, HP1/2, and Ultramix), but some of my favorite songs aren't on them, plus there are many fan songs I enjoy as well.

Honestly player 2's side because if the machine has jacked up arrows, it's on player 1's side 9 times out of 10.

6.
Playing on a PS2 with a cobalt flux, it's the closest thing to an arcade experience one could get around here, as every single cab out there is broken and unplayable

1. The only way I can play DDR on a pad. On the bright side, they have DDR X3. Songs are great, and they're still updating it even then. At least the step charts are getting back to their original quality, and better.

What happened to 2.?I play stepmania on my DDR Extreme arcade machine.
Oh sure, it's not like every single BEMANI fan has their own DDR machine. Yeah, console versions do suck and lack the songs that the arcade versions have don't they?

Voted for arcade a while ago, but I can add
4. Stepmania
and
6. Console
to the list, 'cause I'm getting a metal pad soon, and when I do I'll be getting DDR II, so I'll have enough ways to play DDR then :3
