Hey all! Another week, another theme. I've been indulging in some ITG tech charting recently, so why not indulge in this week's theme...
Very simple requirements this time. 12ths, 24ths, 32nds, 48ths, etc. Anything in that range works, as long as it isn't just 4ths, 8ths and 16ths. This can be done with slowdowns if you wish to do so.
As always, PM me or contact me on Discord if you have any questions. Good luck and have fun!
Week 8
Skittles
Your hardest chart must contain rhythms outside of 4ths, 8ths and 16ths.

imagine someone reviewing all of the week 8 charts with a flat noteskin and going "wow, no one followed the prompt"

Can it have a combination of 4th/8th/16ths and 12th/24ths?

i don't understand the rhythms D:
4ths are the standard red arrows on your downbeat. 4 of them fit into one measure.
8ths are the blue arrows. 8 of them fit into one measure.
16ths are the yellow arrows. 16 of them fit into one measure.
Your chart needs to have other arrows. You can include 12ths (green), 24ths (purple), or anything else.

Of course! It'd be insane if I asked everyone to make a chart with only complex quants.

that's what tak said, besides, it's probably borderline impossible to chart something without 4ths

What if we desync the note by littlest amount? Like for instance it's technically fall into 4th/8th/16th, but it's moved 192nd before/after the actual beat?

Then don't expect any votes because it's the literal definition of cheesing the theme ;)

Does the majority of the chart has to be non 4th, 8th, and 16ths or just a part of it? I'm going to guess the later but I wanted to make sure before starting on what I have planed. The song I have planed has a 12th note part to it.

Nice theme Should there be a "substantial" amount of non-4th/8th/16th, or just any number OK?
I'm debating between a song that's mostly 12th steps or one where 12ths/24ths are added in occasionally.

Any number is ok. Nothing stopping any of you from going above and beyond like with Week 6 though!

Click to go to the simfile page. ITG-sized graphics in the comments.
The video has a number of sections with flashing lights. If you're affected, download the custom ZIP (videoless).
Had quite a number of choices (even one where the first word is "the" but the title's not even English) but I went with this. There's a neat drum solo in the middle, which is where the double time part is.
There's a Challenge chart for once, but I'm not sure if it's a 13 or a 14. Also this would fit this week's theme, apparently!

So far, my contest entries this year have been songs from the 1980s, 2000s, 1970s and 2020. Well, since the theme of this week requires the use of 12ths, 24ths and other offbeat notes, I figured that I'd step a new jack swing song from the 1990s. And this particular song is one I've wanted to step for a long time.
Poison // Bell Biv DeVoe
112 BPM
=2, =5, =10, =13
If you already downloaded the earlier version with just the and charts, please re-download to get the full experience.
