Extract all RARs/ZIPs into the folder you created in StepMania for the particular category that simfile is in. (e.g. C:\Program Files\StepMania\Songs\Dancing Stage SuperNOVA\)
RAR files can be extracted using WinRAR.
If you want your own category, you must sign up and request it here with the name you want to call your category: http://goo.gl/vQDEK
You are advised to Reload Songs/Courses in StepMania Options if you are updating a simfile with a newer version.
