The Portal Arcade, Cafe, and Bar [No Music Games]

Information

The Portal is a barcade consisting of an arcade featuring games from the 1990s and earlier with games like pinball, Time Crisis, DDR Extreme, skeeball, Pac-Man, Mario Bros., etc. It also has a full-service bar that serve food and drinks. The games take quarters and some only take dollar bills. There's a change machine and an ATM on site.

Friday, January 23, 2026: Visited the establishment to check for any dancing games. The bartender volunteered to provide some information regarding the removal of the DDR Extreme cabinet. There are residential units above the arcade, and they lodged a complaint that the DDR game makes too much noise (pads), which prompted the removal of the last dancing game in Chatham County. Also, the games are not owned by the business. An amusement company (Vemco and Amusement Pros) are the vendors that provide the games. Hopefully they may have a StepmaniaX machine on hand to place in an arcade in Savannah. If anyone sees this writing, please make it happen!
