Information
Located on the third floor of this building between Madame Tussaud's and the AMC Theater. Take either the escalator or the elevator up from the entrance on West 42nd to enter.Policy-wise, you must be 21 or older to enter or have an adult 25 or older with you. If you attempt to enter the arcade after 7 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays, a bouncer will be present, and will *probably* ask for a $5 cover charge to enter the arcade (most likely a typical Times Square Tourist Trap Ripoff Measure). Use the elevator to enter the arcade to avoid this supposed cover charge. Otherwise, bouncers are randomly present or absent, regardless of the day of the week.
Food stops being served after 10 PM (on-site kitchen closes at this time), making appetizer/dessert vouchers (obtainable by redeeming tickets for them at the Winners Circle) unredeemable after 10 PM.
Like all D&B locations, this venue participates in Half-Price Wednesdays where the prices of all games are lowered by 50% on the card swipers for the day. However, keep in mind that as of October 2023, this location has higher prices than most average D&Bs, typically in the range of 0.3 to 0.9 chips more per game, and this will also translate to higher prices during Half-Price Wednesdays. All game prices listed on here reflect their regular pricing from the rest of the week.

Heard the A20 Plus cab died recently. Considering lack of support in the USA, might have to be replaced by PIU or SMX

mid pads tbh

P1 pad has a a shit right arrow, basically hit or mess unless you stomp a little hard, same shit with down arrow on the P2 side
Just ass all around 0/10 would recommend trying set decent scores. Trying to pfc anything makes you wanna kms(Especially anything 15+ when you can't stomp like an overweight t rex for each note) Imma just stick to broadway see ya

R.I.P. Slam-A-Winner X-Treme
The end of an era

Yeah take advantage of those coupons and app deals. This is what makes Dave and Busters the cheapest place to play DDR

I realize that the whole "$20 + $20 free" thing sounds like a rip off but it's actually a pretty good deal. I'm still running on one of those I got like 3 weeks ago

DDR X is apparently now 5 songs for one credit...huh...

And the customers? Forget about it...

This place & it's workers are all horrible...stop going here.

Pity...this place is practically a shadow of it's former self...

The Winners Circle has been recently renovated with a new & improved appearance, and a more spacious interior.

Also, based on pics that I've seen (never actually went there), the PPG machine was a US SN1 machine upgraded to X2. Even those kind of paled in comparison to previous machines, but with proper care they're perfectly playable. And since they use the same pad design as previous machines, it's really easy to just swap out the pre-installed sensors with ones from a Japanese machine.

US X2's are fine as long as you take care of them. They're not nearly as laggy as US X's and the pads have much better response. But if you don't take care of them, they can get terrible just as quickly as an X.

ITG2 is not in any D&Bs because they buy their machines from suppliers that make new machines, not the now defunct Roxor.
The Bayside machine was a JP Supernova upgraded to X2/3, not a US one. Since US X2s are no longer produced (iirc), you won't be getting that either. Most D&Bs have Pump nowadays - it's quite lucky that you have 4 panel that works in one to begin with.

Of course, what I seem to notice is how ITG2 seems to never appear in any Dave & Busters arcade. My question nowadays is: Why?

From what I've seen with Peter Pan Games' X2 machine, it seems pretty robust and stable for the time it was in Bayside.

X2's are just as prone to going to shit quickly as X's are, but otherwise, yes, an X2 would be better. Since they're actually quite playable otherwise. X3 and ITG2 are not ever going to happen, at least not in a Dave and Buster's.

Seems that the staff is finally starting to take care of DDR X more often than ever before. That's a first, considering this is a Dave & Busters...
Instead of just wasting time and money constantly fixing this machine, they should look into getting something better (X2, X3, ITG2). Someone ought to talk to them one day about this.

What pisses me off is how I can step on that darned P2 pad perfectly, and can't even grab hold of a Marvelous/Perfect attack for even a second, while that one other guy is able to do much better without much effort...

The Slam-A-Winner X-Treme machine here is the #1 reason I've been showing up to this place everyday, before, after, or between classes. Of course, it is at this point a double-edged sword for me. While I can win thousands of tickets on this machine within just one day, finding and/or flagging down an employee to refill the ticket dispenser when it is time for a refill can be very time-consuming, and as a result, very frustrating.

I just started classes in a college near here, and I've been showing up pretty much every weekday since the 4th, so I'll be sure to keep this arcade location up-to-date with everything.

Nah, I'd say Connecticut is probably worse when it comes to dancing games, at least out of the places I've been to. At least in NY you have at least one DDR machine in pretty much every major city.

Don't know why, but when I went, the pad condition was the opposite of what you guys mentioned. The P1 pad responded well, but the P2 down pad switched between jittery and dead. Needless to say, I'm sticking to Chinatown.

All DDR X US cabs have input lag, and unless you modify them, the pads are horrendous by default. I'd assume the arcade workers here are pretty useless considering that D&B is a national chain, so good luck getting anyone to fix/modify the pads.

One time me and a friend went here, when he was playing Horatio, he was hitting the panels with perfect timing (or so it sounded), but it's like the pads have a delayed register timing, and are therefore off sync with the audio. Because, he was doing the patterns just as it sounded & appeared, but almost every step, especially during the 16th note streams, he was getting Greats. Either the pads, or the machine itself are off sync with the actual music. Then again, DDR is usually like that to me, so that's not exactly news to me.

The most positive thing I can say about the DDR machine here is that it's not the worst I've ever played on. It's terrible, sure, but not the absolute worst.

It...does not

The default songlist is good. I find the licenses to be excellent this time (minus that ice ice baby song...)

I might do that when I have the time TsukiyoX.
Does the unlock codes work?
I really wanna try out Sakura Sunrise/Storm.

YuRiE: Alright, here's what you do. From there, take the 7 train to Main st. Take the Q13 or Q28 to Bay Terrace Mall. Go to Peter Pan Games. And go play DDR X2.
http://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/arcadelocations.php?locationid=1538

I just went today (8.5.11) and honestly; the Pads are quite terrible.
Player One's pad is semi-dead/jitters when hitting the notes.
Player Two's pad is barely working but it's still playable.
Really, the only rank you can get is a D, C, B, and maybe an A If your lucky the pad doesn't screw you over with the Freeze notes.
10~13 B Ranks + Sightread *sobs*

Guy keeps fixing the pads for DDR X, but still no good. There are 2 Guitar Hero Arcade Machines so it's not all bad!

Supernova 2 is gone, replaced by DDR X. The pads are shit, unfortunately.

This is my favorite place to play Supernova2 it has EVERYTHING unlocked
