DJMAX TECHNIKA Q Translation Project






Information
As there is a very small chance that DJMAX Technika Q ever gets an international release, I've taken my hand on translating most of the stuff that is possible. This should make some stuff like Quests and Upgrade infos a lot easier to understand.

Most of the stuff have been translated that were possible with the raw files of the app. Currently translated are:
- Quests
- Achievements
- Most info pop-ups (like buying items, quest complete, etc.)
- Upgradeable props
- Game Tips
- KakaoTalk messages

Translation needed:
- Items

I appreciate every suggestion or help!

Installation guide
iOS - Jailbroken
1. Connect to your device by SSH with any FTP software.
2. Navigate to /private/var/mobile/Applications/
3. Search technikaQ.app in any of the folder (e.g. 4D9AD7AB-1B53-4A85-8626-45914695EAA0)
4. Navigate to .../Library/Caches/r/kr/table
5. Keep a backup of the csv files and replace them with the content of the downloaded djmaxtq_cache_csvfiles.zip
6. Navigate to .../technikaQ.app/Data/Raw/loc/kr/table
7. Keep a backup of the file and replace it with the downloaded strings_kr.csv file.

iOS - Non Jailbroken
1. Download and install the software iFunbox (http://www.i-funbox.com)
2. Connect your device and switch to iFunbox Classic
3. Go to your Device and click on "User Applications"
4. Search for TECHNIKA Q
5. Navigate to .../Library/Caches/r/kr/table
6. Keep a backup of the csv files and replace them with the content of the downloaded djmaxtq_cache_csvfiles.zip
7. Navigate to .../technikaQ.app/Data/Raw/loc/kr/table
8. Keep a backup of the file and replace it with the downloaded strings_kr.csv file.

2. Install the APK

This is awesome!
One question though: Since you're manipulating the application's cache, will there be a need to *always* replace game data (with your data [translations]) after an update (Since afaik, every update also replaces cached data)?

Yes, it'll require replacing the app's cache files every time they update the files. I think it will go like this:
Items and Songs: Every two weeks for Q Song Packs.
Quests: Every 12 weeks for the next batch of weekly quests.
Achievements: Most likely never.
I don't think that an update replaces all files at once (would be inefficient). But we'll have to see at the next update what happens.

Even so, you have to replace the files anyway when new updates appear. Because you need the translations for the new packs and quests.

dear lord, great work you're doing, by any chance once this project is through could you give the andorid version alittle love. lord knows us android users will thank ya.

Don't worry, Android gets some love too.
It's possible to add the strings_kv.csv already in Android too. But it's not easy like with iOS because the strings_kv.csv file is in the .apk file so you have to edit this file.

OK let me try to explain. the Stings_kr.cvs in the android versión is inside the APK file (if you open it with Win Rar you`ll locate it)
now my question is ¿How mod this file and avoid damage the same file? cuz I tried and does`nt install or run the APK

Great job, Timewalker. When you say you need translations for items, I assume you mean the blue and green ones since the avatars are pretty much self-explanatory. The blue vest doesn't let you fail songs, while the green nucleus removes any applied effector while still receiving credit for it.

Omg! I'm glad I had found this thread! You've made my life so much easier playing this game. Hope there will be more updates. Probably should learn how to do this myself one day xD

Hey since I'm in need of translation. I want to do the 1000 points quest but don't know what it's asking for. I see blind, All combo and something.

Question: Are the other Korean texts in other part of the program in the Unity3D files? I want to see if I could get Settings done before jumping the gun into translating the other stuff. Managed to decompile the APK but nothing worth looking in there. I'm assuming most of the stuff are in the cache folder.

Hey miles something is up with your CSV files. On iOS it crashes when it reaches, "Building...." and on Android it just hangs at APP (and the rest in Korean). When I replace it back with the original CSV files it works again on both devices.

I don't know what could be the problem here x.X

1- For the iOS users you must check diferences between Android Versión because these files what I provide are generated in the Android Versión anyway these files are easy to edit with the text editor

now About the Mod APK when just hang in APP (Korean Text) depends on your internet connexion. sometimes does not leave load the game, it just hangs. if you have multiple internet connections connect it to a secondary network

If you can please provide me the iOS CSV files for check difrences and try solve this problem. because I do`nt have any iOS device and only can make test in Android version

I learned a lot by doing during this time for translations and I thank all those who supported me.

I saw the menu screen button and they replaced Event by Pmang+ button
just waiting that the global version comes out to answer the following questions:

1 - How will the issue of inviting friends? (I never knew as done in Pmang +)

2 - they'll remove the conditions to unlock Ray of Illuminati and Mozart 40?

3 - will be the Menu of reference code that they give you 60 Q If you make it?

4 - will be given as well as they did in the Korean version in December Q missions that give you points?

5 - How are the events?

the only thing that I know is Neowiz has no plans to migrate data from the Korean version of the Global.

1 - If you have played DJMAX RAY before, it shouldn't be a problem. But it is very similar. PMang+ was actually used in the Korean Version as a support client.

2 - They stated that it has 7 songs to play for free. That could mean they removed the unlock conditions.

3 - Not sure, most likely not.

4 - It is possible that they may give out Q points upon release as a special promotion.
